Marine Le Pen facing prison time

Marine Le Pen was today facing up to three years in prison after being charged with tweeting 'monstrous' Islamic State images including one of the terrorist group beheading an American journalist.

The 49-year-old leader of France's far-Right National Front has denied any wrongdoing, but now faces trial in the Paris suburb of Nanterre.

Beyond the three-years in prison, prosecutors can also demand a maximum fine equivalent to £67,000.

France, while welcoming terrorists with open arms, instead of attacking the perpetrators, attacks a politician for criticizing them.

I'm glad I don't live in this shitty, cucked hellhole of a country. They deserve whatever happens to them.

There is no better way to criticize the barbarism of Islamic terrorism than to show actual pictures of it. They are essentially trying to deprive her of her right to criticize terrorism by outlawing the most effective way of doing so, not because of any bogus concern about "violent media" but because they are afraid that her message is persuasive.

That would be completely impermissible in a country with an actual functioning Constitution, rather than a pussified fascist shithole like France.

They chose rapefugees over the safety of their own people. France is as fucked and cucked as Germany and Sweden. One of these countries needs to wake up and realise the severity of what they have done and then actually do something. This woman deserves accolades not prison for showing those uncensored pics. Because beheadings of journalists is just one of the violent realities of who you just let swarm into your country like a plague of locusts.

I agree. It goes without saying that this is bullshit and politically motivated just to put the brakes on Le Pen's career. Still doesn't mean she's getting punished for criticising ISIS.

It's pretty obvious that this is meant to shut her down politically, but it's factually wrong to say she is put to trial for criticising ISIS, no matter how you twist or turn it.

France is like Dunning-Kruger the country. They have all of the usual European arrogance multiplied to an insane degree, but just about every decision their government makes is pathetic at best and horrifying at worst. What they're doing should be sad except it's just too funny watching them fuck up yet again.

I'm quite sure that this is pushed just to make Le Pen unvalid for competing in the next presidential elections. Many countries in Europe have laws that state that presidential candidates must not have any kind of criminal record, and it wouldn't surprise me if France is one of them. French establishment was genuinely horrified by the prospect of Le Pen getting elected, to the point that they managed to unite behind Macron last time. They will do anything in their power to prevent even the slightest of change that they would have to face that situation again.

A candidate for an election must be a citizen, have attained the age of 18 years, be qualified to vote, not be ineligible by dint of a criminal conviction or judicial decision and have a bank account.
