I remember seeing this "egg plop" video before. I'll never get that first moment I saw it back, when I thought the lady just dropped a massive dump on the canvas at first since the paint in the egg was solid brown.

However, this doesn't properly explain how...well, there's a multitude of words I could use to describe modern western art. "Exploitative" is one example, but perhaps "lazy" is the best. We're talking about women just standing around naked in places where they shouldn't be (like just in front of a library) and literally sitting around and doing nothing as a camera records them for two hours and they call it "art."

My rule of thumb is that if what you're doing wouldn't seem out of place in "Pink Flamingos," then it's not art, it's lazy attention-seeking. And calling it "shock art" doesn't count if it can't top a drag queen eating a freshly laid dog turd.

I brought this up on another thread once before, put Google the book The Naked Communist. It's a book written by a former CIA agent in the 1950's who listed around 45 things he predicted the communists in America wanted to achieve. All have been achieved but one. One of the most chilling predictions on his list was, "Make art formless and void. Make it ugly."

Even back then, when you look at old Soviet artwork, it's all this abstract shit.

It goes with their doctrine that there is no truth so there in turn is no beauty or wrong. Be as fucking degenerate as you want. You shitting out eggs is just as beautiful and deep as The Last Supper.

Thats because its heavyly influenced by propaganda from the spanish civil war. Its Abstract, but still clearly art.
The spanish civil war is very interesting and the last time the left had real artists.

Just imagine if it was you, who was always the smartest guy in the room, but still had to obey some dumbass editor!

Political cartoonists have to spend their entire careers working with editors who don’t understand political cartoons.
