I remember seeing this "egg plop" video before. I'll never get that first moment I saw it back, when I thought the lady just dropped a massive dump on the canvas at first since the paint in the egg was solid brown.

However, this doesn't properly explain how...well, there's a multitude of words I could use to describe modern western art. "Exploitative" is one example, but perhaps "lazy" is the best. We're talking about women just standing around naked in places where they shouldn't be (like just in front of a library) and literally sitting around and doing nothing as a camera records them for two hours and they call it "art."

My rule of thumb is that if what you're doing wouldn't seem out of place in "Pink Flamingos," then it's not art, it's lazy attention-seeking. And calling it "shock art" doesn't count if it can't top a drag queen eating a freshly laid dog turd.

I brought this up on another thread once before, put Google the book The Naked Communist. It's a book written by a former CIA agent in the 1950's who listed around 45 things he predicted the communists in America wanted to achieve. All have been achieved but one.
