Legend of Zelda thread - Lorefags GTFO!

Impa does show up at kariko village again, but I don't remember if I saw her before unlocking the fifth save.

I did find the game has a lot of repetition. Like the old sages telling the new sages how they were defeated then told to prepare is almost word for word the same. The canon explanation for the tears not changinging the story would be that Link didn't think anyone would believe hisvisions about the past, but the truth about the Zelda going around dojng shenanigans was heavily hinted at in many of the side stories involving the gazette, especially with the great fairies.

Do you recall roughly where in the village she hangs out?

Also, am I the only one who thinks the final boss fight is an Aladdin reference? Wouldn't be the first time Zelda directly references Disney.

I hate this game. I don't know why. I cannot put my finger on it. Its just.......meh? The ending was meh.
I only played for 6-7 hours on an emulator and I think meh is the perfect way to describe it. I liked BOTW, but I didn't really have any desire to play it again, and this is basically BOTW Deluxe. Actually it's a bit worse than that because building shit in games is not really my thing and I don't have the time or the energy to invest in building interesting shit. On top of that, I found the building mechanic cumbersome and clunky. I could see the appeal if someone really likes Minecraft and stuff like that, but I have no interest in it at all.

I'm glad I tried it out on an emulator instead of buying it.

Yesterday I tried to tackle the lynel collisium and barely survived the first two lynel and haveup and one-shotted the rest with ancient arrows.

It was only later that I realized that the lynels would probably be a lot easier to handle if instead of trying constructs that get yelled off and running away until an opportunity presented itself, it would be better if I did actual dodging so I can do flurry rushes.

Parry, arrow to the face, and then get on their backs with your strongest weapon. The parry timing is pretty lenient and while you're on their backs your weapons don't lose durability. You can switch weapons while getting on their backs or starting a rush, so exploit that to save weapon durability. And don't forget to stock up on bananas in the jungle before hand so you have plenty of triple attack boost foods before the fight.

Speaking of the Lynel colloseum, check out this guy,

Golem only

Sages only

He has some other hilarious vids, like this one; no weapons, bows, or shields vs King Griork (or whatever the hell it's called in English)

I am definitely burnt out on it. I've done pretty much everything I wanted. Didn't hit Lost Woods tho. The game is not 'bad' by any means. But it feels like it is missing something. Similar to feelings I had with Bayonetta 3 and Xenoblade 2.

Despite the divine beasts being meh in botw I hate to admit that I like them more than what they got here. (Fuck u ice dragon bitch). The mechanics are.....blah. Though I love being able to blast rocks with thr goron. I love cooking too. Forever mad that instead of a big busty long haired gerudo sage we get tween urbosa wannabe. Might as well have Nabooru appear.

I never really grew up on Zelda aside from renting OoT. I was more a Mario/Sonic/Banjo Kazooie fan. I might try Rare Replay. I guess it's weird I'd rather enjoy that than this. I know i know I'm shit for preferring Rare.

God its frustrating and stressful to say that I dislike it. The $70 price tag doesn't help matters. There's certainly a lot more QOL improvements they could do.

Also the sidon/link shippers are fucking insane as well as all the art of Raoru and Ganon using Link as a disposable cumdump. Like.....y'all.....staaaawp.

I hope that the Elden Ring DLC rips off the paraglider from these Zelda games since TotK ripped off a bunch of stuff from ER and did it so poorly.

I admittedly getting a little burnt out. I'd liek to switch to animal crossing for a while, except A) I'm sharing my game with my partner by making his my primary console, so i have to be online to play and b) the moment i close the game it will update and I'll lose the duplication glitch.

Either way I'm slowly picking things off. I activated all of the shines and completed all of the ones that don't make me naked and afraid (but I have 35 hearts and 2.6 stamina wheels now so I'm ready to revisit them), got all of the glow roots, got most of the armer sets and have the main ones upgraded to at least the set bonus (the zonai set is my main as it has highest defense at 4 stars), got the 5 sages and completed the side stories and the main story up to the final battle with ganon, right now I was upgrading my armor as much as possible but some require lizards and bugs that i can't duplicate so i'll be hunting next. then I'll pick away at the rest of the shrines then tackle the sidequests.

i do hope the dlc brings more house customization options as mine is shaped like a turtle and is ugly as sin. More complicated contraptions like being able to trigger different components at different times would be nice. It would be hilarious if they added a Korok Space Program where you have to create a massive construct that can get you to the moon.

All I know about Elden Ring is that it was the only game released in 2022.
TBF for me, it might as well have been, most everything else is almost always an unreal engine reskin these days, and I rarely game anymore as it is.

TOTK is still great and Proably going to be my GOTY unless Armored Core 6 is like super fuckin incredible or something.

Really disappointed story-wise, felt like it was designed around a linear game. Also how unreactive the world is. Should of been a time or light temple instead of having everything just get fixed in the ending cutscene.

It is but that's alright.

I didn't really enjoy Elden Ring but I think it was largelyna different type of game as compared to New Zelda. What I really want is a good, new Old Zelda.
I get it, I'm 32 I grew up playing Nintendo, my first console was the SNES with donkey Kong country packed in and an old NES my stepdad brought out of the closet. My favorite game of all time is either super Metroid or ocarina of time.

I've been a Nintendo sperg,

I realize they aren't the only ones who can make masterpiece games though at the same time
