Hopefully more than just remakes of other games. They’ll definitely do side projects at least since each one of the “open air” Zelda’s takes 6 years to make.

At first I was very excited to see this giant underground area full of dangers but when it became clear all it would be is a place to farm Zonite it very swiftly loss any appeal. There are bits of it that are good, but in comparison to the underground areas of Elden Ring it was pretty disappointing. All one biome with nothing but recolors and amiibo clothes you still can't dye for some fucking reason. The Depths are fucking terrible, I loathe going down there.
I got into an argument about this in this thread before because people don't understand the difference between similar stories and similar gameplay. OOT is quite different mechanically from what came before.I'm on board with shitting on Ocarina of Time, but I just never could get behind that concept. They both have similar structures: three smaller dungeons to collect three tchotchkes that open up the Important Room that takes you to Clown World and then you go through a number of other dungeons to collect all the other tchotchkes that unlock Gaon's house and then you go in and call him a fag and kick his ass. But that's about where the similarities end, because LttP just looked a lot better and felt a lot more structurally sound.
Aesthetically and in terms of art design it's great. I think Numa has gotten really lazy with just copying Ghibli over and over. I wish we could get a proper Medieval fantasy style Zelda again.I will say Twilight Princess certainly looked good
Twilight Princess was said to be heavily inspired by the visual style of Ico, which was a homage in game form to Ghibli essentially. Even when they don't directly copy it they still end up doing Ghibli.Aesthetically and in terms of art design it's great. I think Numa has gotten really lazy with just copying Ghibli over and over. The magitech style worked with Twilight Princess stuff because it was still grounded in magical fantasy, just with a sci-fi flavoring on top, and the Twili were supposed to be alien. With Skyward Sword it just got retarded and I kinda hate the entire Lanayru area because of just how ugly all the magitech future past stuff looks, it was also the start of the Shieka being some mysterious super advanced tribe. Breath of the Wild isn't even a fantasy game, its a post apocalyptic sci-fi game, what with Link using a literal tablet for everything, and robots everywhere, then Tears doubled down on that and made ANOTHER mysterious tribe into a super advanced sci-fi race with even more robots everywhere. Also move away from magitech bullshit or go all the way in and make a weird sci-fi Zelda already. I am sick of everything magic being a stupid fucking computer.

Ever since I saw that was the original idea for LoZ I've wanted to see sci-fi Zelda.go all the way in and make a weird sci-fi Zelda already.
I'm mad about how accurate this is. If it doesn't look like an iPad how will the Zoomies cope?Zelda is increasingly sci-fi to appeal to imaginationless zoomers.
They should let Monolith make their own Zelda, I think that fantasy concept art on their site from a couple years ago was thought to be Zelda, but nothing came from that.I think what Nintendo needs is two things:
1) To shuffle the senior creative staff out
2) To hire people who aren't sycophantic about their IPs
I'd rather them just shuffle them around. Give GameFreak a 2D Zelda game to make, let MonolithSoft do Pokemon, etc.I think what Nintendo needs is two things:

And Minish Cap 2. I'd like them to get 3rd parties to work on their hibernating IPs, I'm sure Sega would make a good Mario & Luigi RPG.Let Capcom make the third Oracle game, Nintendo. It's not too late.
I mean I was sort of half-joking, but I'd love it if Nintendo let some reliable companies work on smaller Zelda games. Especially if each new main entry is going to take five or six years to make. And Minish Cap 2. That's just cruel for all parties involved. Gamefreak would get BTFO so hard they would all commit seppuku, and Monolith is too talented for Pokemon.let MonolithSoft do Pokemon, etc.
Right? Capcom did a pretty great job that one time with Zelda IIRCI'd love it if Nintendo let some reliable companies work on smaller Zelda games.
Let Kojima take an stab at the series. We could use an stealh-based Zelda game where the goal is to spare the monsters for some ridiculous reason.I mean I was sort of half-joking, but I'd love it if Nintendo let some reliable companies work on smaller Zelda games.
