Lena Dunham - Fat, Child Molesting Attention Whore and Her Trainwreck of a Family

:powerlevel:I'm friends with two people who went to the insanely expensive private high school where Lena and her sister both graduated from. One of them took a playwriting class from the same teacher who had taught Lena, who even ten years after having her as a student remembers how incredibly annoying she was. The other one is actually friends with Grace and she's apparently really likeable and nothing at all like her sister.:powerlevel:

Khloe is almost a foot taller than Kim Kardashian or whatever. Huge height differences are not unheard of, just not really common.
Doesn't Khloe have a different dad though? Not only is she way taller but they look almost nothing alike.

…I'll shut up about the Kardashians now.

What has Jennifer Lawrence done that's worthy of as much scorn as Lena Dunham and Amy Schumer? I mean besides the phony 'regular gal' schtick she pulls at awards shows (pretending to trip in her gowns, saying she's so hungry and has a candy bar in her purse, is on her period, wants to get the buffet, etc).
Jennifer Lawrence is one of those female celebrities that bitch about being paid less than their male costars, which makes me roll my eyes faster than ADF threatening suicide. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for women being treated equally or whatever but you have women out there who are forced to marry their rapists. Women who get acid thrown in their faces by men who they refused to marry. Thousands of women and girls get forced into sex trafficking all over the world and yet these overpaid female celebs use "feminism" to bitch about how their male costars made a couple million more than them. It's complely greedy and disconnected from reality.

I don't think JLawl has a rap sheet quite like Lena's however.

Why, why, why would you admit something like that in a public space? I mean, who the hell was dying to hear Lena fucking Dunham be all "MUH VAGINA" in front of hundreds of thousands of followers? And she's saying this while complaining about paparazzi, y'know, invading her privacy? Come on.

I don't care who you are, man or woman, famous or a total nobody. Keep that kind of shit to yourself.

Yea, this. JLaw is someone that standardly attractive, slender, white, middle class and above, somewhat intelligent women with feminist leanings can feel very validated and represented by. If you're anything outside of that, tough shit. Which is why it is pretty much just as egregious that she's starting to be considered a representation of modern feminists as it is with Lena Dunham and Amy Schumer. They're all so intensely privileged, and they shouldn't be the voices of women who aren't. At the very least Lena and Amy represent women who don't fit the rather narrow definition of beauty Hollywood has nowadays, but they make up for that by being insufferable shitheads.

Like how the pretty white girl from Harry Potter gets more plaudits for making a few speeches about women's rights than Malala, who gets shot in the fucking head and starts her own school?

I don't want to deal with the repercussions badly enough to say it out loud, but I wish American women screaming about 'rape culture' could experience the real rape culture that so many third world women live every day.

Agreed. In my opinion too many celebrities are being used to promote whatever cause Hollywood, the media, and various business want them to promote. It's not too dissimilar when a actor appears on a commercial. It all becomes another product because it's what's "in" at the moment.

Today Hollywood and the media want to promote "strong and confident" women even if the spokeswomen they get look like trash and have done nothing for women's rights. Lena Dunham being an example.

I understand the average woman cannot look like a supermodel or very beautiful celebrity who has very expensive clothes, jewelry, etc. You name it. So TPTB use faux philanthropy to improve their image while still shelling out whatever junk they're trying to sell to the masses.

This tweet by Stephanie McMahon perfectly sums it up.

It is probably untrue too. In the recent sci-fi stinker Passengers Lawerence was paid $20M+30% of film's proceeds, as opposed to Chris Pratt's $12M
And Pratt had more screentime than her as well. For American Hustle (the film which inspired JLaw's essay) she was paid less than Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper because she had far less screentime and she also basically admitted in the essay that she was a lousy negotiator over her salary. Somehow I don't think we'll be seeing any essays from her arguing Pratt should be paid more.
