Unless it was repressed for 95% of her life, I doubt she has anything resembling that much of an excuse. I talked to her from time to time a few years back and it's like she did a complete 180. She had a bit of a self deprecating sense of humor about being unemployed, tried to have sounder conversations about politics, and was pretty chill/reasonable. Until, apparently, one day she just... Wasn't.

It's still really jarring how much she's changed. I didn't really know her that well, so maybe she was just less blatant about it, or maybe Trump getting elected was the last straw for her. Chances are, we'll never know.

Whenever I talk to apologists about this kind of thing I always ask, what if the tables were turned and a woman were dating a man who was constantly tweeting and blogging shit about how women are shallow and vapid, heartless, selfish, use sex as a bargaining chip, live life on "easy mode" because they have vaginas? If you were the woman dating that guy and he said "oh not all women, you're cool honey" and then just kept up the constant social media barrage of how awful women in general are, how would you feel as that woman?

We already know the answer, those guys are nice guys and women find them repulsive. So why is the alternative okay?

I don't know Chip personally so I'll choose not to speculate on what their private relationship is like but I wouldn't be happy being reminded I was born bad and that something core to my identity required an apology just because.

Yeah I didn't want to put too fine a point on it, but this is pretty fucking common for a lot of guys, particularly ones that experience a good deal of depression and lack of direction in their early 20s as I've heard he's gone through. I still don't want to speculate too hard because I respect the guy but I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't think anyone is saying or implying that Chip doesn't have the same SJW views as his friends. Bit late on the this but in regards to the last RT in that, what makes the South Park Trump thing funny is that they aren't touching Trump because both sides are shit but rather because for Parker and Stone, doing satire on Trump is hard when Trump is doing it himself.
