Let's Players originating from Something Awful - ft. VoidBurger, General Ironicus, Bob Kamoc

So SA lets play person Damehasclass said on twitter to @Lowtax that "l*wt*x is exploiting his kids" that she deleted and protected all her tweets after lowtax noticed and its leading to a blowout that made me laugh.

And here comes the good part: the SAletsplayers that leap to this poor bullied cowards defense.

This isn't the first time I've seen crap like this. People complaining about a villain being reprehensible is just ridiculous.
I don't get this either. I remember when Bioshock Infinite caught a metric ton of flak because the villians were all terribly racist. They were the snobbish social elite in the 1910s - believe it or not, fighting racism now does not magically eliminate racism backwards in time - and they were explicitly the villains. What fucking world do they live in where it's wrong to show a villain do something that establishes them as unlikeable?

SJWs are the ultimate, the epitome of "nice-guy-ness".
Pretty much.

Lowtax reminds me of Fast Eddie; while they both have a noted tendency to act like dumbasses, when they're on the money they're 100% on it. (The fact that both of them have experience with pedophiles helps the comparison.)

And of course you-know-who chimed in:

@the1point0 is a cool dude from what I've seen so far.

Passiveagressiveburger more like.

How is Lowtax "exploiting his children" by explaining the concept of child predators to them? I guess he made a tweet about it and is getting attention because he and Shmorky were close and Shmorky was in proximity to Lowtax's kids, but in the eyes of SJW's the fact that he's getting attention and sympathy and they arent, he must be exploiting his kids to get pats on the back, rather than him actually being upset at having to explain to his kid that he put them in a compromising situation and they need to be careful of people like that?

I mean you could argue he actually exploited his children by putting them in flash tub cartoons years ago, as a way to garner clicks because "look at this baby doing cute baby things!" but even then, most parents act that way about their babies--doting on them and acting like everything they do is adorable and hilarious. It's not really that exploitative.

I mean I dont even understand what angle that damehasclass person is playing. Lowtax's tweet seemed like a pretty typical response to the situation he was in, in my eyes.

Oh and yeah I loved Voidburger's "Maybe they might wanna work this out in private but Im gonna get involved anyway and publicly retweet and preserve their argument LOOK AT ME!!!"

"Hill to die on," one of the classice SJW-isms, alongside "on the right side of history" and "problematic".
she really helped him out of depression
I'm not sure that she did. I'm blanking on the video, but I remember that she was on the video where he said that he had depression after graduating college and the way that she reacted was as if it was the first time she was hearing of it.

I'm interested to know exactly how long they've been dating. VB was talking recently about their anniversary, so at least a year. I doubt that it's much more than the last year because she's been dropping hints about having a new boyfriend for about that long. And I think that it's only very recently that they've actually started living together because Chip lived with his parents (I think, I remember him talking to his father on-stream a few times) before he got a job at Volition.
And VoidBurger has definitely been living with her parents until moving in with Chip: she briefly whined about having to drive her father places and pick him up in from his friend's house in a video (the old Chip Cheezum Gex stream, not the recent charity Gex stream) before the Volition move and she's talked about her disabled younger brother getting some sort of fruit-picking therapy that gets him out of the house in an old "Speldrunky" video. Her parents were also heard yelling in the background of one of the old videos.

Basically, my theory is that they were never really that close, they just played games over the internet together semi-regularly for years, then started a long-distance relationship that only became more intimate a few months in when they were able to be in the same location together (after Chip moved out of his parents' house for the Volition job). I think he has no idea what he's let himself in for.

The desire for the last word runs very strong in some.

I have never, ever understood this kind of thing. I've been part of this community for years and I've made some good friendships, but to me it's not a romantic relationship if you're not physical or even live in the same state for gods sake. Yes, yes, emotional connection and such, but come on, it's not real if you don't even have an idea what being physically intimate with that person is like.

That's a good thing. Empathy for those you dislike is a quality SocJus lacks, remember.
Eh, I don't dislike him or even have any strong feelings about him, but I do feel like he makes way too many bad decisions and brings a lot of his own misery on himself.

But getting told he was a shitty father for strongly reacting to finding out someone he thought was a friend was actually a pedo? Yeah, I think I couldn't have any chill at that point either.

Experimenting with screencapping twitter like this. It's very redundant but I think more readable?

Apparently Voidburger and Psychedelic Eyeball were somehow manually banned in a way that makes them not show up in the Leper's Colony or show up as banned?
