As Null said in his latest stream, he wants recommendations for a car.
  1. He wants either a manual or automatic car
  2. He wants a car that the CIA/NSA glow niggers can't run him off the road
  3. He wants a bare bones base model car, no luxury cars
  4. "NO COMPUTERS AND ELECTRONICS"
I suggest that Jersh get a bricknose/OBS F150-350, I'd also suggest he get one with a 7.3l power stroke turbo diesel if he gets a f250-350

I made a suggestion in the MATI thread (2007-09 Honda Fit), but this was before I read the criteria. The Fit fails on point #4 (though the electronics aren't there for spying on the driver, they're just there to make sure the car runs OK).

Like it or not, most cars made in the last 40 years are going to have some sort of electronics in them, even if it's just a digital clock or electronic fuel injection system.

The only car I can think of that definitely fits all criteria is an air-cooled VW Beetle. Though depending on Null's definition of "luxury", a W123 Mercedes-Benz would be a better option. They may have been luxurious in the '70s, but they're not exactly luxurious any more. BTW get the diesel, as it'll run on used vegetable oil or just about anything else for that matter.

No computers and electronics means that any truck newer than mid to late 70s is a no go because they all have some electronics in form of an ECU and EFI system, unless maybe diesel ones as they also used mechanical fuel injection. Only smaller and lower end cars will otherwise pass that check.

Well, my recommendations are as follows:

-A Yugoslav or German made VW Golf mk2 diesel with mechanical fuel injection from the early 90s as it has a 5 speed manual transmission. My grandad had one and the car OUTLIVED HIM! These things are VERY, VERY reliable cars. They can reach 1 million km with proper maintenance. They're also easy to find in Četnikstan, where Jewsh seems to live, and other former Yugoslav republics alike, costing maybe 2k USD at most in great condition.
-A diesel Mercedes W123 300D with a turbo. The W123 is kind of considered the vegetable oil Mercedes where I live, so if Jewsh can be bothered to filter some waste vegetable oil, he'll have some cheap fuel.
-One of those million km Volvos from about the same period. These things are also very reliable and driven by even wealthier people in the Nordic countries because of its dependability and reliability.
-Gaz 24 Volga preferably with some diesel Mercedes engine swap. This was the KGB car, so it's probably gonna be good against the glowniggers.

I was almost going to suggest a Lada, but that might attract the glowies' attention. A GAZ would probably have the same issue. Nice car tho.

He should get an older volvo, wolkswagen or toyota, they're cheap to fix, and although they're not completely electronic free, the older the car, the less obnoxious "luxury" features they'll have. I have a Polish friend who drives a really busted 2004 volvo S-something that he's fixed himself like 100 times. I think Null would enjoy the aesthetics of a car that's lived through some abuse. Just make sure to not get something like a BMW that will drain your wallet with all the expensive repairs it will need.

You won't find a new production car with no electronics, not outside the 3rd world, you can choose to either go for a vintage 1950s car, which is really expensive, or you can go for something a bit more recent that has a tolerable level of electronics in it. I don't think it's possible to remote control a 2000's car just with software, so you won't be driven off the road, but they could definitely knock your car out with an EMP.

I totally understand Null's hatred for faggot IoT technology that you can't even opt out of, I share that sentiment myself, they just don't make them like they used to

Also, my grandpa swears that saabs are the absolute best cars if you can find them, they were built to last, saab went bankrupt because people weren't buying new cars from them since their customers' old cars just never broke down, definitely worth looking into if you're looking for a car that can go through hell.

That's what I said as well, most of the late 80's-90's trucks have a computer in it but its mostly for the fuel injection and other electronic parts of the car. Also most of the trucks from that time frame were never considered luxury and most were bare bones with a manual and roll up windows. Which is I why recommended an OBS truck.
plus they're still somewhat affordable. Most older pickups from the 70's have shot up in value
Another car I suggest Null should get is a 80’s fj62 Land Cruisr, land cruisers are tanks and built to last

Also, there's already a thread on /o/ talking about what car null should get.

The top results are a Miata, Honda Fit and a Lada

Ford Maverick. Very affordable truck. Minimal electronics, just a sound system. Good luck finding one right now though. Should only cost around $20k.

Old Volvo wagon.

They will have some sort of ECU but they'll still be reliable and old enough to not have any possibility of remote control. Plus they are very practical.

Hell, maybe you could go a bit newer and get something like a 90's XC70. Not only is it a Volvo wagon, it's also 4WD so it can get into a few more places than a regular wagon.

Someone else mentioned an older, diesel Mercedes, which could be a good option. Parts and repair are crazy-expensive where I live, but may be cheaper in Serbia, or Solvenia, or Uzbekistan, or wherever Josh is, these days.

American v8 pick-ups may be cheap in the US, but everywhere else they're relatively rare and expensive, esp in Europe.

Best option maybe a Soviet-era car, like a Nada, or Trabant, or Lada, or something- No electronics. No luxury bullshit. Simple, bullet-proof, glownigger-proof engine. And I'm guerssing they'd be cheap, plentiful, with lots of parts, and people who can fix them, in whatever glorious, ex-Soviet utopia where Null is living.

Google says that 1993-or-earlier Lada Nivas have glownigger-proof, no-EFI induction.

To be fair null wants a car with no software/firmware which is pretty difficult to actually get as almost everything these days has a pozzed ECU.
I think a Volvo estate is pretty good they're bulletproof (not literally) and can just last with good upkeep.
There are a few BMWs that just go and need very little maintenance and almost all cars (2000-2010) can have ECU work done.

Jersh wants a car that the CIA can't hijack...

This is the only car worthy of our Jannie, no electrics and he can use it to excersize

expecting /o/ to not tell you to get a Fit or a Miata is like expecting /g/ to tell you to not install Gentoo on an IBM Thinkpad, or /tv/ to tell you that children aren't sexy.
