It's all accurate. I struggle with bisexual desires due to exposure/abuse in very early childhood.
The refusal to attribute homosexuality to environmental factors is damaging to Ls, Gs, and Bs in the long-run. Why does it have to hard-coded into your DNA for it to be valid? Attraction's never worked like that in first place. Attraction's something we learn and it changes throughout life, even if it's always strictly toward one gender.
I think calling it an "identity" is a poisonous trend that needs to die. You see gays fed up with the culture in this thread because they're smart enough to know that it's not an identity. Your identity is your character, your beliefs, convictions, ambitions, and actions — it's not what you're attracted to. Your identity is internal and attraction is, by its very nature, external. Morons latch onto the "LGBTQ+ identity" because they have nothing going on inside themselves and they go apeshit when the lifestyle is criticized or ridiculed… because they've decided that being gay is a core part of their personality.
It's okay for your sexuality to be screwy and to acknowledge it as such. In a world where people glamorize their ten-billion mental disorders, it's apparently wrong/evil to suggest that homosexuality can be a defect in some cases. Unfortunately, I've been screwed up and it's my vice, but since it's not my identity, I don't take anything regarding it personally.
