Lies of P - First proper bloodborne like - Which is about *checks notes* steampunk Pinochio kicking ass made by Koreans

The amount of bitching about Bloodborne still being exclusive is legendary. Hopefully the game will be good, but most Souls titles just lose steam halfway through

To be fair, nearly every game attempting to ape From's gameplay has failed at that. Nioh succeeded imo but it's also its own thing.
Nioh succeeded mechanically, but failed miserably at level design and with it's fucking diablo loot. I never bothered with the DLC or Nioh 2 due to that and everything I've read about Wu Long reaffirms me not getting that game either.
Im not sure whats to be fair about it. Its either it feels good or it doesnt. If you cant do it well then maybe just change it to make it good instead of dying on the hill.
I do still think is that their ploy is that it feels kind of like crap and the upgrade system will suddenly make you feel a lot more potent. Difference is that in Hollow Knight you only do a fraction of what you can at the start, but still feels good to control. I may replay the demo and focus on blocking instead of dodging and that may make the game click. But stuff like that and how attacking kills any forward momentum gives it a clunk.

Very much. I started enjoying Code Vein and even went solo vs most bosses, but near the end I just was so done with it and even summoned human help for the final gauntlet. Elden Ring at least has the excuse of being massive when fatigue start hitting in the mountain of the giants. Aside from Nioh 1 and Code Vein I haven't really played any other soulslikes. I still thinking Lies of P is one of the better ones, but I file it more as a "game I get to scratch on itch while I wait for other stuff".

Reviews are out and it looks good, like I said before, the question is if the quality is consistent all the way

The biggest things going against the game are the retarded title and the main character looking like that faggot Chalamet. Luckily the latter can be remedied by wearing a donkey mask.

My backlog is stacked. I'll definitely keep paying attention to it, but I was in bloodborne mode all the time when I played the demo only to learn that it was a Sekiro deal for the most part. Also, not having dash attacks drives me up a wall. But if word of mouth is strong, I'll go for it.

This game looks AI generated. It's so derivative from the Souls formula, sometimes I wonder why they even make something so identical and don't even bother to fix shit nobody likes from Souls games.

I was watching a streamer playing this game and noticed a lot of bullshit that exists just because FromSoft is a bunch of autistics and now everyone thinks this shit should be copied 1:1.

- Swamps where you get slow as fuck
- Giant bosses where you can't see shit what's happening.
- Losing souls at death.
- Le epic super difficulty without options.
- Long runbacks as a final fuck you after you die.

It's not a deal breaker, we all enjoy Dark Souls after all. I'm just pointing out simple stuff that could be avoided to make a better gaming experience, but devs are too retard to change anything about their games and decided just to make a cheap copy from an infinitely more famous game.

That's why nobody plays those things. With that being said, I really love Thymesia, I think that's the only Souls clone with a personality out there.

Thymesia is chinkslop. Cheap clone with repetitive unbalanced gameplay, uninspired environments, negligible story. Saving grace is that it is mercifully short so you don't waste too much time with it. Granted the weapon system is a good foundation but gameplay is not balanced enough to accommodate it. A few upgrades in the right places and you're invinxible. Not that the random moons ever have a chance of killing you. Thymesia makes me rethink my assertion that the Furi devs should have made a game to play in between their boss fights

And it's better than everything else done in the genre (outside fromsoft, obviously) regardless.

EDIT - Keep watching it, not paying a lot of attention because I'm doing other shit but apparently your character has a mechanical army with a bunch of skills to upgrade, exactly like Seriko.

Motherfuckers, does this game have 1% of originality? I think FromSoft should sue those bastards. Holy shit.

Alright I've cleared up through the fat spider archbishop boss in the fourth level and the game's growing on me a bit. The combat didn't click until the third boss.

Some of the customization shit in Lies of P looks neat. Otherwise, it doesn't really seem to have legs - Bloodborne itself is pretty boring until halfway, and without the DLC is really not an enjoyable experience because it's so fucking easy. Lies of P not trying to leapfrog straight into combat that reflects how everything gels in the DLC doesn't bode well for me. I think the only reason this game has any eyeballs on it is because Sony refuses to just port BB to PC, which would print enough money to let them buy Actiblizz out from under Microsoft I swear.

Err, do we?
This game is terrible, it's objectively bad. Miyazaki is a fucking hack. What a depressing and shitty level design. I sincerely can't believe this game was praised back then, I felt cheated.

>adding denuvo without telling anyone
Won't be buying this, hope it gets cracked soon. Fuck jews treating their players like criminals.
Was it one of those "add it to the store page on launch day" deals? I hate when they do that shit. The deals are made ages in advance, they just know putting it on display could cost sales due to the poor reputation. Which makes you wonder how much profit they really make by getting the DRM in the first place.

Yes, but people found out 3 days early because of the early pre order bonus. So there was bad press before release anyway lol.

Good video calculating how much denuvo has made in a few years of its launch. I assume these prices have been updated, and I also assume that it is a gigantic waste of money. Most people (like me) who are inclined to pirate your product were never going to buy it in the first place.
In fact piracy can sometimes help sales because of the wider reach to poorer countries that cannot afford every random pile of slop,, and want to experience it first to know if it's actually worth the money. An example would be American Gods by Neil Gaiman:
TLDR: Posted the entire book, while it was still selling quite well, for free on his site for a month, then measured a 300% increase in sales from independent book stores afterward.
It should be noted that the jews got to my boy after this and he disavowed this take on twitter.

I dunno if it counts really, Gaiman has a crazy amount of die hard fans and him releasing the book for free was probably more advertisement than proving a point. Especially as a good chunk of people prefer hard copies of a book than digital ones. So, unlike with games, both the pricing is way lower, and there is a big difference between the free copy and bought copy.

With gaming you could just buy the game and refund after two hours via Steam return policy if you want to try it out, and I really doubt the amount of people that would buy a game after finishing it with a pirated copy. At best they'd wait for a sale, but it sounds more likely they'll just put the game on their wishlist forever.

He mentions places like Russia pirating him. I'm not sure it the independent book stores were Russian or not but I imagine he wasn't that popular or famous in Russia in 2001 when American Gods was published. Probably we'll never get more info on this either way becasue jews in publishing are deathly afraid of it.

During the forum purge, I posted about how shameless this game is in plagiarizing EVERY single minuscule detail from SoulsBorde.

Imagine the most inconsequential detail from a Souls game, it was copied by Lies of P, no exception. It almost feels like a parody game.

I even talked in my post that didn't survive the rollback about Crystal Lizards. Like, who the fuck gives a shit about Crystal Lizards, that's the last thing that comes to your mind when you think about Dark Souls, But Lies of the P copied it anyway, they just changed it to a fucking butterfly.

And now I'm thinking that even the healing animation is the same as Bloodborne. Like, I'm not joking, I don't thing this game has anything original at all.
