I know I'm late, but this is why these retards shouldn't be fucking around with servers. If you're too incompetent to force a password reset; I don't care if you use the GUI, Command Line, or Powershell, but if you're too stupid to force that on your users, you're too stupid to fucking build a server solution. They'll be inconvenienced for 30 to 60 seconds upon logging in the next day, and life will go on. Don't get mad, you're a fucking administrator, force it on them.

Also, that shit about stock and what-not; I've only seen shit going that fucking hard when you start working with (not for, with) the federal government. Never seen a compel to sell; but there are questions about if you've worked at certain places in certain capacities, have old or current connections (friends/family/etc), and other shit with those companies, as well as stocks or other interests. Unless Linus is doing shit for the Leafy Feds, that contract is fucking overreach. As for what me or my family invest in... ... ... I'll tell you when I see Yvonne's naturalization papers.

They suggested the Orange Pi 3 LTS and the Orange Pi 5. I'm more of an Odroid fan myself. The n2+ is more mature in software than the 5.

They fucked up the name of the rk3588s CPU on the orange pi 5. Called it the RK35885.
Im a SBC boomer, I tinker with them as small portable desktops perfect for when you are running an application that i sensetive to crashing while alt+tabbing. Cause sometimes you are just swamped in documentation and an ipad just isn't good enough. The problem with Linus video like all the other SBC videos is that they just assume that chucking numbers at you is a great way to compare these computers but that would be true if all things where equal and they just aren't this isn't windows.

I think thats normal most places if you're not salaried as you can just put the hours worked into your timesheet as overtime.
 
Nothing wrong with saying they have evening/weekend hours. It's something entirely different if they abuse it via split days and/or not letting you put all your OT hours. That'd be a complaint with... whoever Canadians bitch about that with.

Every contract I've had has a similar clause, although it's usually phrased as "outside core ours depending on business needs" rather than being specific. Every contract has also said that work outside core hours can be compensated with additional vacation days. Sometimes it' specified the days need to be taken in a given time period (e.g., within two weeks) or is added to the general pool.

Also the employee handbooks have, more or less, been nothing more than a list of processes to follow (e.g., for sick leave or booking vacation) and putting in writing things that would be classed as misconduct (don't be drunk at work, don't make hot-takes about the company on social media, etc.)

It is like they wanted a rule stating employees cannot ask to skip normal hiring interviews, when one of their family members wants a job. But then Linus had a freak out about collusion or family drama and banned anyone recommending family. Because Linus is the only one allowed to do the nepotism round here.

I personally would excuse such hypocrisy but for entirely different reasons

simply because I have seen what migrant employees do with workplace nepotism and how they abuse corporate sponsorships.
