Louis Rossman discussing the recent leak of the LMG employee handbook on stream:
I mostly agree with Louis though I think it'd help if he actually skimmed the handbook instead of just responding to the retarded Reddit post.
The employee handbook is a bit strange since they want to pretend to be super cool ("Part Manifesto"?) and yet a good 80% of it looks copy and pasted from every other contract. It really shouldn't even be called the handbook as that would imply it has some day-to-day usefulness when instead it's just a set of mostly standard stipulations that you maybe read once and never look at again beyond your first day. One thing that struck me is how lousy the leave entitlements are
This is literally the bare minimum

You also might forfeit celebrating public holidays because
THE SHOW MUST GO ON. Linus and his staff have better things to do than pay respects on Remembrance Day or observe Good Friday.

All the non-standard provisions are an absolute shitshow of poorly worded nonsense that Linus the eternal hypocrite happily ignores. The gifts policy for instance:

It's one thing if Seagate gifts LMG a pallet of hard drives with the hope it gets used in a video, but Linus' house is filled with gifts from sponsors. (iirc the Ubiquiti cameras he installed throughout were gifted). Why doesn't he hold himself to the standards he expects from his staff?
There's also a strange expectation built into the policy on filming

"
will be displayed on LMG's websites". They've since removed the social media handles from the Our Team page but it's frankly absurd that by working at LMG, you must consent to having your dox online. Especially after this

Oh no dahxing! (
Spelled wrong btw) Hey Linus, if you give a shit about your staff not getting fucked with, how about you don't publish their personal info online without even giving an opportunity to opt-out? Not all of
these guys are in production and would get credited on videos, why must they have their personal info online?

Anthony must've skipped over this part of the book.
