For Firefox go to about:config and set pdfjs.enableScripting to false (possibly enableXfa too, but I don't know enough about xfa to comment).
The scripts run in a sandboxed environment, but putting your trust in that alone is foolish.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to allow embedding scripts in documents which automatically run needs to get the rope.
If you really need the functionality it should ask for confirmation with big red warnings and alarm bells going off; and even then peopl who fall for phishing would run it regardless.

I've seen several of these weird "Elon talks about Starship and Crypto!" things. It seems like something they'd be able to auto-find easily, weird they don't.

I rarely watch a Linus Tech Tips video, but I just find it ironic that for someone who gives out tech tips for old and new technological gadgets, him and his company can’t differentiate between fake and real crypto ads.

It makes one wonder if this will happen to Marques Brownlee next.

I don't get it. If you are smart enough to buy crypto (which isn't very smart to begin with) how the fuck do you fall for a literal "douling money"-scam?
Even runescape, the birthplace of "doubling money", has far more sophisticated scams than a fake elon musk stream.
