Linus Gabriel Sebastian & Linus Media Group / Linus Tech Tips - Narcissistic corporate shill YouTuber driving his media empire into the ground. KILL COUNT: 2

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I don't get it. If you are smart enough to buy crypto (which isn't very smart to begin with) how the fuck do you fall for a literal "douling money"-scam?
Even runescape, the birthplace of "doubling money", has far more sophisticated scams than a fake elon musk stream.

Pajeet lives in a small town in the valleys of the Uttar Pradesh. He has a good understanding of English, which is why he has a well-paying job as a tech support scammer. Other people in his village are not so fortunate. Pajeet is an average Indian, so he makes just under $400 a month - this means almost everyone in his village makes less than that. They are desperately poor people.

He knows English, however, so western culture leaks over to India faster than most places. He knows of cryptocurrency. He heard that his young nephew bought $100 of Bitcoin years ago and now lives in America. Wow. Pajeet wishes he could make it big too, so he follows all the crypto trends. He's subscribed to every Telegram group. He's in ten different pump and dump channels. When they say pump, he puts all $24 of his Bitcoin on Binance into it. When they say dump, he gets $24.97 of it back (after platform fees). He's going to make it big one day.

Today, Pajeet decides he's tired of small gains and wants a 1000x return. He decides to do market research. He does this by going to YouTube and searching "Ethereum". There is it at the top: a livestream. Elon Musk on his official, verified YouTube channel with 14 million subscribers. He's talking about this new cryptocurrency project that has a guaranteed moon. He's on the ground floor, the live announcement. He springs to Binance and makes the commitment. He trusts Elon.

His mind is racing. He can't focus on work. Kitboga is talking to him with a voice changer, but he's thinking about his newfound wealth. He's daydreaming about telling his coworkers to go fuck themselves. Taking a big shit on his boss's desk. They're going to be sorry they treated him poorly when he's rich and they're texting him on WhatsApp for a few rupees - but it'll be too late, he'll be in America too, maybe knocking champagne glasses with Elon Musk.

Except it's not real.

It might have been a scam, but the dream's not dead. Next time, he'll make it big.

And this happens right after he publicly said he used to frequently drop hard R's, thinking that meant the word 'retard'. This has not been Linus' best month.

do the gtav wasted version!.

Now in all fairness hacks like this do happen, it's been mentioned previously but Jim Browning was scammed into deleting his channel.
All it takes is some clever scheme and it can rope anyone who is caught off guard, the weakest part of any chain is the human.
A sophisticated spear fishing attack could get anyone if they slip up.

Saw this happen to a fella called "Mysterious Weeb/Chad" earlier. He was also hacked by someone that claimed to be Tesla, could be an issue with Youtube security.
