MKBHD nowadays cares more about cameras and video editing than the subjects of his videos. He rarely says anything that isn't in a press release or on a spec sheet, but he is a skilled editor and makes decent background noise eye candy. I would never trust him to give a realistic opinion in a review though.

MKBHD aka Nigger Linus set off the "full of shit" alarm in my head way back when I discovered his channel in 2012.

Bullshit "reviews" that are essentially product tours aside, MKBHD is a huge CONSOOMer and shills all sorts of shitty products like IoT, electric vehicles, the Metaverse and more shit that we need to CONSOOM because OMGGGGG TEH FUTURE IT'S SO COOL, WIRELESS AND THIN AND THE FUTURE!!!

I just went to check his channel, since it's been years since I've done that, and I noticed that MKBHD has met and filmed chats with Zuck the Fuck and Shill Bill Gates before. To me, this isn't news but more confirmation bias. And perhaps that long-standing theory that MKBHD was "made" to be popular could actually be true.

personally I find a ratchet driver on computers useless. Once you break the fastener loose there’s too much backlash on the ratchet to take advantage of the design I can just spin em out quicker with a regular driver.

The problem is that the market has several alternatives that all do what the LTT driver does and cheaper with better warranty. They aren't pitching this as a novelty item but as something actually good so i will compare it to what already exists and compared to that this is just bad.

Unfortunately, many SnapOn tools and tool related products are have moved manufacturing overseas. I was in the market for a tool cart recently and was shopping around. The cheap Harbor Freight US General brand 4 and 5 drawer carts and the SnapOn equivalent are both made in China.

I do think its overpriced but most brands manufacture in Chyna now (even alot of those who say they don't) due to the cost. Honestly though I don't care as this is likely going to be a failure due to the incompetent "wOrLd ClAsS eMpLoYeEs" that he's hired.

i know you're joking but IIRC two companies owns all the brands, milwakee will 100% get stolen because its the best, ryobi is cheap and will break after a handful of uses, dealt is only slightly worse than milwakee but is way cheaper because they don't come with a fuck load of accessories. black/decker has random quality.

It all well and good him saying on the WAN show how he can take all the criticisms and then doing backroom bullshit, to make sure nobody see's any video critical of it. Then pulling the old "i did not stop people from criticizing me" innocent fluffy eyes. You would have to look for a place not under the control of Youtube's system. But then that bring up another issue. Any complains from smaller places, he could shrug off, owing to the smaller platforms user base not being big enough to cause any wave of backlash.

Yes. They've got a list of clients on their website that they've done work for in the past. In fact, I think they also do custom systems and cases. They've mentioned client work in that regard as well in a few videos.

It not just about the fanbase. Linus has said in the sceenshots above he has sunk $$$$$ in to this. He needs it to sell, and with how connected he is. I would say check somewhere else instead Youtube for reviews of it if you want a true look at the product. It is easy for his connections to fabricate consensus on a platform he has deep connections to. I want to see objective reviews about the product and trust they would not do such things. But Linus is still a hustler and i am not above suspecting him of foul play.
