I remember this being posted about here and someone did upload a recording of it, but it was so long ago I wouldn't be able to find it.I think I found the removed Gamers Nexus video that Linus was attacking, that may have been his source for Steve being "above ethics". Sorry, haven't had the time to give it a proper listen yet. This is the video made in response to some doctor guy as referred in the WAN show (the clip of some guy talking 3 minutes in).
Reddit post concerning the video and its prompt removal (A)

Here's a 360p archive of that YouTube video
Personally I don't take Linus' word for it when he says he's being misrepresented etc. For instance, why doesn't he provide the apparently very important missing context on his statement about Honey? A minor detail that struck me as dishonest on Linus' part was re: Billet Labs, he says they said it "Should work with a 4090", but pause the video at 7:22 and read the e-mail, it does not say that.
The text Linus highlighted says "(it may also fit a 4090 FE but we haven't got one yet to try it with - you're welcome to give it a go)". In what universe does "welcome to give it a go" mean it should fit and therefore it's on Billet Labs that it didn't fit? He goes on to say "Steve missed that the block only went into our charity auction because of an internal miscommunication."
How is it relevant that it was an internal miscommunication? Does Linus genuinely think that Steve believes he deliberately auctioned the block to fuck with the company? That's insane, it was obviously a mistake but that doesn't diminish how fucking stupid LMG was for auctioning it off nor excuse their blasé attitude when telling Billet Labs their priceless prototype was auctioned off. LMG staff acted as though they should be thankful that thanks to them it's no longer gathering dust on a shelf.
