All this talk of Linus' 10/10 parenting reminded me of the time his cat, Shadow, got killed in a tumble dryer.

He's a literal millionaire but apparently his wife can't quit her job at LMG and take care of the kids? Instead he relies on an incompetent nanny that ends up murdering the cat. The simps on Reddit decided that this was a great learning experience and the nanny shouldn't be fired

I don't know whether the nanny was successful, I didn't see a followup from Linus on this. The post on this in the Linux thread presumes the kid did it for attention, which might explain the nanny's response, but we'll never know.

If this is truly an act of attention from a kid then Linus is a giant scumbag for firing the nanny with cause. Get your kid help, or better yet, help out your kid and stop neglecting your child and flexing their double race on your company's twitter account. A cat didn't need to die brutally here.

This might be derailing the overall topic but IMO if you aren't going to have time to be emotionally/physically available for a few kids don't have them. They will watch what you do and turn those actions onto others.

Maybe Linus should have retired because it sounds like he's going to have one hell of a set of children on his hands soon. It might be of interest to this thread that one of the three traits that commonly come up in serial killers is animal abuse.

I didn't know how the cat died, I listened to the Wan Show episode where he said they had to put it down but made it sound like it had genetic internal injuries (that I realize are probably due to being put in a fucking dryer). I lean more to the kid being the one who did it over the maid, the maid would have done something more in her time to send warnings around pets.

He's trying too hard in this clip to be the cool boss. I don't know anything about the situation as I'm not gonna watch the moving videos but many people won't tell their boss to fuck off if he asks them to move and they think declining could impact their normal work. Even if the impact is from peers and not directly from the boss, it's just how it is.

"They can just say no!" is true but not a good answer and from what I've heard even if they were happy to help initially his moving etiquette is nonexistent so he made it more miserable than it had to be.

Aside from financial stuff, she also does a lot of management stuff…like coordinating Linus’ constant expansions and renovations of the office, and hiring. She’s mentioned several times wanting Linus to “slow down” on the business stuff so they could raise a family, and his response was that he’d slow down when his kids were old enough to remember dad not being there. What a fantastic father and husband. Apparently that day never came, and now that the kids are older he sees no reason to stop expanding until he needs to put out 10 videos with cringe thumbnails per day just to break even.

I guess that's what happen when you marry a manchild.

This lab idea seems like it's going to crash and burn within a year. It seems both too broad and too niche.


Another upgrade video appeared, the only things I still regularly watch from the channel. It continues the idea "logistics" are just on-call grunts, and for as much bullshit as Linus talks about being a good painter we see the room he did for his employee wasn't that good. The canda faggotry is infecting things to where I don't know what's real anymore, but do people not say boyfriend/girlfriend anymore? Partner just sounds insufferable and without love or feeling.

Turbo woke types like to use "partner" even in straight relationships, you'll see it on Wikipedia occasionally. It's nuspeak, and really does sound very sterile and loveless.

yea, no... any man with half a brain and a pair of balls would end the relationship right there and then if they were just called a "partner".

Partner is a term you would use for someone that's helping you on a project or work assignment. Boyfriend/Girlfriend has more meaning and impact.

Probably, except unlike Linus, Steve actually puts in effort to learn how to do these test properly. When he got the fan testing machine he started learning about aerodynamics and all that to make sure the tests are as accurate as possible. The man learned Mandarin for the trips to the factories for God's sake. Linus is jealous that Steve puts in effort to do his test videos while Linus fucks around like a monkey in a zoo with expensive tech while any actual tech review is completely lackluster.

I imagine if the newegg broken mobo thing happened to linus he would not have even mentioned it as to not piss them off and lose them as a future sponser.
