From what i've seen on his twitter he does stock trading and real estate. But yeah, he does have a lot of high end cars (2004 ferrari 360 spyder, porsche and recently bought an R8) for someone who is 27, married, and has two kids. I do like his videos though.

None of those cars are anywhere close to new and his Instagram says he traded in the Porsche for the Audi, so he only has around $200k worth of cars, plus his wife's SUV, which also looks used and from the same generation as his R8. He lives in a relatively low cost of living area (Orlando), and someone with his number of subscribers could afford those cars on YouTube money alone.

Been a long time since these guys were producing content that even approached "good". Last time I watched Linus with any regularity, he was still doing NCIX Tech Tips.

I know it's been said that Anthony is a fat disgusting slob but it can't be reiterated enough. Videos with him are both unwatchable and unlistenable as you can hear the fat in his voice. Being the most IT literate among the LTT crew is hardly an achievement either, an experienced corporate sysadmin could run circles around Anthony.

I haven't seen Alex mentioned much in this thread (probably because he's boring as fuck) so here's a shitty Thinkpad review he did a few years ago.

Highlights:
0:20 - LTT loves deliberately awkward sponsor segues but Alex excels in making it even more bizarre with his dead eyes and total inability to smile.
2:20 - Demonstrates the keyboard with incredibly spastic typing, fingers all over the place and an abysmal WPM.
2:36 - The big WTF moment: Describes the trackpoint as an "annoying red skin tag that hasn't been useful for years" then proceeds to own the trackpoint fans by demonstrating his amazing technique of extending his right thumb down to the trackpad as a means to mouse around.
3:22 - "Lenovo, I know you guys are too stuck in your ways to remove the trackpoint. People will complain, but, they're probably just a vocal minority and you should just have the balls to just put on a larger, proper trackpad."
Just laughable. Every Thinkpad iteration for the last 10 years has been stripping away features and worsening the design to accommodate retards like Alex but he's still not happy. The one unique thing left must be removed so it can become the perfect MBP (or Surface) clone!
5:44 - No passion or care in this review, you can literally see his eyes reading the teleprompter as he delivers the conclusion.

Thinkpad spergs freaked out in the comments and downvoted the video to hell, I don't think LTT even addressed this and I bet Linus was laughing as, with YouTube, engagement of any type is good for a video.

Oh yeah, this review. Holy shit was it so idiotic. Alex basically completely missed the point of what the ThinkPad is and he expected another copy of a typical consumer laptop, because that's what he's used to and he doesn't like change. The TrackPoint is the singular extra feature of ThinkPads (or any other business laptops for that matter) that makes them appealing to people who understand how superior it is to the touchpad, or work people in general. Thankfully Lenovo isn't this braindead to adapt their business line of laptops to some normies who think the TrackPoint is shit because they're too retarded to use it or even ignore it.

Personally, I think they should be included in every laptop on the market. It's much less fatiguing to use as you only slightly push on a little nub instead of swiping your entire hand multiple times over a flat surface, it's much more natural to use when typing and moving the mouse cursor as you barely reposition your hand to use the TrackPoint, and also if you're forced to play a video game without a mouse, the TrackPoint is legitimately a fantastic input device for that. Plus, it's purely mechanical, so there is no issue in using it with gloves on. Any bog standard leather gloves will be fine, unlike with touchpads where you'll probably need Mechanix gloves to get the touch to work.

He has a girlfriend if the Intel Upgrade episode is honest. One thing that upgrade series has showed is for as soy as LTT is, many of the guys are the ones settling in the relationships. But there's a lot of weird there and this is probably why Linus feels like he's the most normal of them. I mentioned in another thread the place is an incubator for the creepy hipster pedo stache, and 95% of LTT has gotten fat, to a point where I am surprised they haven't made exercise gadget videos. They're probably scared any exercise would upset body positive trannys. Jake got so fat during covid, combined with being pal and his pedo stache, it has become instinctive to minimize the window.

I always thought Berkel was the best when I saw older videos, a guy who actually exercised and went outdoors who taught Dennis how to shitpost. He wasn't the most tech guy but that was something needed in the environment, to have a normal guy who can do manual labor and also be an enforcer if push came to shove. Their head accountant guy could be that too given his upgrade episode but he's so distant from the production crew he's probably just wanting to cash an easy paycheck and milk the millenials and zoomers.

i'm calling bullshit on that; he averages about 200k views per video, averages 3x a week of videos. unless in-video sponsors pay triple what adsense does i doubt he's getting more than he would working a regular job.

Ran this video on the side earlier today and wow Anthony is disappointing. He basically did nothing that mattered. I have to wonder if he was setting himself up to fail by focusing on routing the wires neatly so much instead of getting the computer up and running and then focusing on things that don't really matter later.

I watched the newest video because of that screengrab. It shows everything wrong with current LTT in a 20 minute package.

In short:
-trying to move in while considerable interior work is still being done on the house
-refusing to get real movers because it cost money ($11k), even though the man throws money to burn left and right
-gets his employees to help him move, making it an awkward situation for them, especially since they are "logistics" ie shipping/inventory people probably most capable of being first on the chopping block
-pussies out of coordinating the move to focus on building theater seats, gives everything to his wife
-kids are also there with what looks like their grandparents, creating distractions and dead weight
-kids are also wearing masks half the time
-Linus gets a little defensive when Yvonne mentions seeing an employees underwear even though it's no big deal especially when people are helping you move, hiding it behind being a HR issue
-a room was mispainted, this is the painters fault and something that will be harder with stuff now in the room


I remember as a kid when we moved to a new house, my parents made sure our room was made up and nice and normal, both to feel normal and to also keep kids away from the adults moving things in. And my family is nowhere near with the disposable income Linus has. But Youtube consooooom soyface thumbnails must flow, so it creates an avoidable clusterfuck. Perfect example of a Vancouver prick.
