GN's Steve says gloves are off when it comes to Linus now. He even commented on the trust me bro t shirt, and how much of a bad taste that is. So others are starting to notice how Linus is on the way to to becoming a laughingstock. Wan show is going to be a shitshow this Friday i bet :story: I have to wonder how many hot takes he is going to throw out.
Based integrity as usual I see.

He apologized for what he sees as bad journalism and improves from his shortcomings. Something linus is petrified of.

I don't think i ever got any actual "tech tips" from Linus Tech Tips.

At this point the only reason I'm watching is for the channels eventual implosion.

For example, the Linux challenge series of videos was just a complete embarrassment. I'm no linuxfag, but many of the issues they had workarounds they weren't interested in even looking at.

A "tech tips" channel like linus' has no business in giving advice for anything knowing that they suck the cock of any sponsor who gives them money.

Also, does a youtube channel really need to have 2-3 buildings and a staff of 70 or so people? I have a feeling when the LTTlabs thing fails there will be massive layoffs.
Back in the dark times I would reference LTT for build guides since everything was usually timestamped and he walked you through the process fairly well.

Honestly don't know why I'm still subbed at this point, I occasionally watch a WAN show

Yeah, I do actually miss the old build videos they did, especially from around the time i built my first pc in 2013/2014-ish

Steve went a little beyond, there was no need to put in multiple clips and closeups of Luke being very uncomfortable with Linus. The inclusion of those clips kinda roasts harder than anything Steve could say in a professional context. Clearly Linus and Luke had talked about the situation and Luke expressed his disapproval and Linus kept awkwardly bringing it up and laughing. Like he was trying to weirdly win an argument with Luke by bringing it up in public and acting like his audience supports his epic trolling and Luke's fuddy duddy professionalism concerns were so lame. All the while Luke didn't want to discuss it in public because he's a fucking adult and a representative of a multi-million dollar company.
Disagree. The way to present evidence to support your stand is exactly how GN did.

And to be honest I think GN actually it down a bit. Linus needs to be put into his place.

He is not a fucking technology god and his builds REALLY SUCK.
He's just a Woke Canadian.

I was responding to someone who said GN wasn't going in on Linus by responding that they didn't need to include those clips but they did therefore they were actually kinda shitting on him in their own professional way. Not that they did anything wrong.

80! Last number I heard was like 50. Assuming an average of $60,000/year, that's ~$92,000 per week just in wages alone. He gets 25% of those wages back from the government for most of those positions (media tax credit), but still, he needs a lot of money coming in the door to pay for this shit.

Credit to the LTT Forums guys, they make very articulate criticisms.

Do they ever release VODs for the pre-show or would a Linus paypig have to record it as it goes out?

P.S. Happy birthday, Linus! 🎂

Has Tech Shrek had anything interesting to say about the latest happenings regarding the forum?
He has been silent for the last week.

Also another (slightly) scummy practice: pretending your product is Made in Canada when it's really just some plastics and final assembly in Canada. Shipping incomplete products back and forth sounds unbelievably inefficient too.

Redditors call out Gamers Nexus for hypocrisy regarding the previous lack of warranty on their own merchandise:

Talk about completely missing the point. Though it seems like the only "counterargument" they can come up with since it's so hard to factually defend Linus on his "trust me bro" bullshit.

No but the pre-show is aired on youtube and floatplane while they setup the stream, after the stream they cut it off from the show, while is easily archieavable, no one does

Over/under on a troonout?

Things in favor for it;
He wears two earrings
He loves the backstreet boys
He has a hideous asian wife

Things against it;
????

Has anyone already done the math on whether the LTT screwdriver is literally the most expensive screwdriver in the world?
There might be some special insulated screwdrivers for linemen working on 10 billion volts that cost more, but as far as just a plain old "metal stick with a handle" screwdriver, even the luxury brands with ironclad lifetime warranties don't cost that much.

Isn't it just a fairly basic ratcheting screwdriver? You can get those for $20-$25 USD, but Linus wants an extra $55 USD just for his branding. Plus you've gotta go to a dumb pop up store because their manufacturing is so fucked that they're only being produced in small numbers.

And yet it's still cheaper than just simply assembling it in canada, which is quite fucked up. Come to think of it, if i recall correctly linus at least once whined about wage gap but oh boy, it seems like he doesn't give a fuck about poor chinks getting slaved away. And on short circuit he won't be happy about products being enclosed in plastic wrapping, but sending planes back and forth from canada to china sure is better for the environment. What a dirty little hypocrite.

I wouldn't be surprised if Linus was just a terrible businessman. He licensed the patents for the ratchet and for keeping the bits in the handle, then he declined to work with the partner manufacturer of the patent holder in Taiwan to go mainland chinks.

I'm pretty sure he could've cooperated with a North American tools manufacturer to laser the LTT logo in and maybe even their oh so special handle.

Maybe I'm just out of the loop because I don't follow their content, but I'm lost as to why has he decided that merch-ifying stuff like screwdrivers and backpacks is a good business idea for LMG? I don't think I've ever seen them do serious tool reviews or even mention tools much at all. Why the sudden urge to sell an expensive ratcheting screwdriver, or an expensive backpack? It seems to me like they'd be far more successful with stuff that is in their lane, like a line of prebuilt gaming machines or something like that. I think their fanboys would gobble that up.
