Older deals, like 20 years ago when things actually started to change it was higher monthly pay but not getting paid for overtime(crunch), or regular pay and paid for overtime. Across a development cycle that is a gamble. It was all calculated, it was very much like pay less taxes every month or get a fat tax return at the end of the year, the work is the same.

As for the tools. Fuck me, I just bought a pack of fucking 12 screwdrivers (flathead and posidrive) for just over a tenner here in bongland. Ok, mined by young babies in China and worst Korea, but fuck it, who cares, we're heating up baked beans cans on fucking camping stoves here in Bongland and trying not to die of fucking Carbon Monoxide poisoning (what a way to go!).
And the fucking things work. I wasn't expecting much tbh fam. But they do the job. Ok, you aren't going to be using them in 10 years time or even 2 years time, they are not Chrome Molybdenum Snap-On level good. But they offer a good selection that will get you by in a push. How much did Linus want for that crap?

I wonder what Linus' expectations from the Project Farm episode were. It definitely helped a little bit with sales but nowhere near as much as the LTT main channel plugs. I guess the only market for these things is Linus fans.
The backpack got a little bit of love when the screwdriver dropped, but now it's barely selling at all. Given the lack of interest from PF viewers for the LTT screwdriver (PF video has 1,911,691 views, poor conversion rate), I don't think the backpack will do much better when it's reviewed. I wonder how mad these first wave buyers will be when it gets deep discounted in 6 months?

I've have Blacklisted GN and Hardware Unboxed for their complete slanted views OMITTING important facts about the NGreedia 3000 series of video cards.
Namely the massive amount of wattage increases to get those performance increases. I can not have my clients be falsely lead by omission of facts.
Every single large tech influencer omitted that fact during launch.
Yes both sites (GN,HU) do give out decent reviews on things but they omitted facts to push views and to be on Ngreedia graces at the time.
With the exception of Explaining Computers you really can not trust any YOUtube tech site.
As of this moment there has been almost Radio silence on price gouging of the X670 motherboards. and the few that are commenting are trying to deflect the issue by stating that "B" Series mother boards are for the masses.
THAT IS BULLSHIT by assholes who is sucking on AMD's Dick.
I've been buying X series motherboards since they first came out.
I know the fucking cost to them.
So I'm going to say this. It appears that you MAY get a maximum performance increase of 30+% in certain applications.
But what AMD and the fucking troons out there are not telling you that you are getting the performance increase
1. BY INCREASE OF WATTAGE USE
2. BY INCREASE OF COST, AROUND 50% (or more) OVER THE PREVIOUS GENERATION.
3. EXPENSIVE DDR5
They are also not telling you that there is a good chance you will be needing to REPLACE your PSU as well.
It really looks like I'm going Intel on my next upgrade.
I am not paying 600 dollars (tax and shipping) for a low end X670/CPU combo, when last 2 generations I only the MAX of $400.00
I can re use my DDR4 RAM and PSU with their upcoming (Intel) product
IMHO This is pure and simple price gouging and again and IMHO most of the are Youtubers are touchy feellie with AMD.
I recommend Tech Power up and Guru3d for your computer tech needs.

It's because tech reviewers never look at their power bill and the "creator" community wants the fastest, most expensive card out there even if it is useless for their use case. Think of how many streamers there are who never play games that take advantage of the extra VRAM in a 3090 over the 3080 TI, yet they still have a 3090. If you're rich that isn't the worst decision in the world, but it is terrible advice for the general consumer.
I personally have a 3090 (buying top-of-the-line is a good financial decision if you keep your computers for more than three generations like I do) but didn't upgrade to a 3090 TI even though I had an allocation for one and could have got it for free due to the demand for used GPUs at the time because the extra wattage wasn't worth it for the minor performance boost and my gaming computer is already a space heater when playing games. Also, not a single review made it clear just how large the 3090 is. I have a massive case and I had to take out a few hard drive cages to fit it in; I can imagine that there were plenty of people who thought they could just upgrade the GPU who ended up building an entire new computer just to fit the damn thing inside the case.
