Fat guys are acceptable in some situations ("if they're funny"). Fat women are accepted only by other fat women and by feeder chasers, and the former is an alliance of convenience only, there when you both need support and gone the instant she can feel better about herself by looking down on you, even though you're both hideously obese. Growing up, we bullied the fat girls quite mercilessly, while the fat boys were left alone by everyone but the gym teacher and some particularly insecure want-to-be jocks.
