Linus Gabriel Sebastian & Linus Media Group / Linus Tech Tips - Narcissistic corporate shill YouTuber driving his media empire into the ground. KILL COUNT: 2

They put up the second part of the mystery shopper series yesterday, showing how the computers arrived, but they removed it and are reshooting because Starforge said something. In the original video they had so much expanding packs it seemed a cable to the video card was knocked out, and a piece of the pci-e slot holder tab broke off.

Isn't the whole point of 'Mystery Shopper' videos to get something as a rando's experience and not with the white glove treatment the company rolls out to influencers? Taking it down because a company fucked it up and talked to you about fixing it after defeats the entire purpose doesn't it?
These are the people who didn't know to remove the plastic covering the feet on a mouse...

This would be the perfect opportunity to utilize the support and show how easy/hard it is to get it fixed. But by Linus being to corporate cuck slave, he can't show too much imperfection from a potential sponsor.
If he's trying to rebuild an image of trustworthiness, then this is the opposite of what he should have done.

Niggercattle on r/LinusTechTips just made a post blaming this on Gamers Nexus and Billet Labs.

Reminder, Linus' "honest review" of Billet Labs' prototype consisted of:
  1. Using the wrong graphics card that Billet Labs told them wouldn't work.
  2. Selling the prototype when they explicitly told them they would give it back.
It's also funny that this simp pretends that LTT was a bastion of unbiased honesty before GN's video. That hasn't been true for a few years.

He's getting roasted alive in the replies, which is hilarious.

Starforge by far had the most expensive shipping ($300), but I don't remember anything else mentioned about import taxes. I think it was ignored completely, which means they need to come back and say Dell was $100 + 100 import duty, etc.

It was a weird video where it felt much more padded, because many were packed correctly and all Linus could bitch about was getting a single stick of 16gb ram instead of dual channel for one of the companies. And I will never buy this chinese phone charger he's shilling, it probably has a built in spy device in the charging base.

Wonder if this is the same guy on the LTT forums

Why was it removed anyway, the taxes combined into the shipping?

Steve made that one video, then a response in a HW News video and went dead silent about the whole ordeal.

It was also clear it wasn't a personal attack at Linus, but rather an attempt to use his platform to tardwrangle Linus into being more responsible because his company is ran by retards, completely mismanaged, and it causes harm to reputation of small companies by them being idiots.

But all the LTTards think that Steve is this big stinky meanie bully that has a grudge against their Internet tech daddy Linus, which is just hilarious. :story:

Who's shocked that starforge (artesian builds) has a shitty invoice system that puts taxes and shipping into a single line item, even on their end. They can blame that douche all they want for ultimately sinking the company, but with book keeping like that; I'm amazed they didn't get audited to death.

starforge (artesian builds)
Waitwaitwaitwatiwaitwait. So you're telling me that Linus' most recent video involved him buying something from the new company the Artesian Builds guy made after he drove it into the ground?
THIS Artesian Builds? And he took down the video because this guy complained about it?

This is fucking hilarious, and I don't know if this is the usual "LTT being ran by retards" spiel where no one did any checks on what this company is and what's their history because CONTENT, or if this is Linus' attempt at a comeback at Steve, because dealing with a scammer that Steve has exposed will definitely show him that he was wrong about LTT or some other dumb narcissistic bullshit like that.

video reuploaded, at 27:59 is where they added clarification about the shipping being so high, Linus said ship + import together, on their website they list it separately (people are saying this was a sneaky update by Starforge done yesterday), and there was a "software bug" that charged double duty fees.

There are people from artesian working at starforge, but not the artesian CEO, who was the real problem. There were two offices and one was doing a great job, the other was managed by the CEO and could barely fulfill any orders.

Linus finally installs wired speakers in his living room setup. Also uses his employees, again, for manual labor.
I noticed nothing was damaged until linus had to involve himself. He dinged the molding (oh no!) and then tore a chunk out of the paint (probably gonna cost him 10k to fix). Funny how everything goes smoothly until he gets involved.

That video was frustrating because now he has all this wire being run and hidden with cheap white plastic or trying to run on the molding, it's so after the fact it comes across like your grandparents trying to modernize their home with fancy new things but they just said fuck it.

Let's not forget the faggot has a super home theater 20 feet away, and can just go listen to stuff there, just put the longest soundbar you can in front of the TV (maybe with a subwoofer in a corner) and call it a day.
