Except he literally didn’t though. If you read what the case was about he had an art collection of like 30 000 photos . The police claimed cherub like shit from the 30s was somehow pedo porn which it wasn’t .

I've wondered about this... what's the difference between someone who can watch porn sometimes and not "progress" much and someone who gets into an addiction spiral and ends up needing to watch unspeakable things just to get aroused? In the same way, some people can use drugs at parties and special occasions and not have it mess with the rest of their life, but for other people getting high a few times will send them careening toward the gutter and the grave.

I've heard many accounts of depraved porn addicts who were married so it doesn't seem to just be a matter of sexual deprivation. Weird, lonely people probably have fewer possible barriers on the path into horror though.

I think porn addiction is harder to just slip into.

1: “ but they are married”. Might be why. People like novelty and porn is nothing but novelty. Something gets tiresome you can find an all new deeper fetish seconds later . It’s hard to maintain that level of novelty in a woman you’ve been with ten years and could almost map out her internal anatomy lol

2: I think porn addiction is much more a product of a cycle of behaviour that gets reinforced to the point of becoming an addiction. The release from having sex is a fundamental part of being a human. If everyone who nutted immediately became a depraved coomer it would cause significant instability in human behaviour. However it is a significant dopamine release and anything that causes dopamine spikes can spiral into addiction.

Some people are more or less vulnerable to addiction than average. Couple that with stress, boredom or some unrelated chemical unbalance in the brain and some people just fling themselves down the addiction oubliette, while others in the same situation just have a quick fap when they're horny and move on to more productive endeavors.

Sometimes it's literally just genes. It's a fact that given access to low amounts of addictive material, medium amounts, and extreme amounts, think chewing coca leaves, snorting cocaine, and smoking crack, most people if given a choice will settle on the moderate option, like drinking beer, rather than going fully insane and drinking Everclear straight.

Some people are just particularly susceptible to addiction. Consider how American Indians were completely devastated by alcohol, and Irish are correctly viewed as extremely likely to be drunks.

I doubt this gooner was somehow innocently turned into a chomo by his exposure to extreme porn, but he was probably predisposed to it somehow.

I thought the porn addict to pizza parlor line is basically escalating taboo rather than specific interest. For them, its less about them being attracted to them being a child, to them being attracted to the action, possession, viewing, and participation of such being one of the most extreme sexual taboos we got. I'm pretty sure that's a 4chan theory though, fuck if I know if its backed with anything beyond a stoner nodding and saying "yea makes sense" and sharing it about.

I'd add an addendum that mixed race Icelandic men seem especially unbalanced. I think Icelandic DNA has reached a homeostasis internally, but once mixed it releases the rape ravager that lurks within.
