Linus Gabriel Sebastian & Linus Media Group / Linus Tech Tips - Narcissistic corporate shill YouTuber driving his media empire into the ground. KILL COUNT: 2

Which is something else I'd do, going off my previous idea in the thread where he uses his massive resources to make a multi-hour actual tech tip stuff. Have Dan and the other guy do "How to build your network closet." How to choose a room, what the room should have, what to look for in a rack system, your hot/cold aisles, heavier stuff at the bottom, punchdown blocks, your TIA-568A/B, and whatever else. Instead we get guys who ordered shit that couldn't fit through the doorway normally, and then mostly Linus and Jake fucking around, and then suddenly Dan and the other dude are all "Yeah, so this is looking pretty, damn we're good." Give them a fucking budget and let them make something actually fucking useful for designing network shit for your at home hobbyists.

"Hi it's Dan and [OTHER GUY] and today we're gonna show you how to make a at home network stack using Ebayed SuperMicro gear."

"How much did I spend on this?"

"None of your fucking business Linus, we're being useful here."
Thats why you watch levelonetechs

I don't think I can watch videos with Jake anymore, it's like watching someone pretend to be retarded get away with being a dick and getting too handsy with women because "he doesn't know any better." Just the constant "let's spend money on this and this and this" is even getting to a point where a whore like Linus is having doubts.

You see Dan and the Labs guy doing it right, then they cut to Linus and Jake being fags and not telling Dan about just not turning the network back on, I would have a stern "Linus what the fuck" moment with him. Dan really needs to demand a raise or go somewhere else because I guarantee in a year or two there will be a video where he gets blamed for something when it will turn out to be Jake's gay tinkering with everything.
I haven't been able to watch anything from LMG other than small clips posted here ever since Gamers Nexus's critique video. It was amusing to watch their attempts at watercooling computers with the pool or running servers, but for some reason being outdone by shrink wrap over mouse feet and magically losing instructions provided with products is over the top.

It reminds me of Scalfani's usual habit of not reading the instructions on something he's reviewing, completely fucking up, then blaming the product.

Except these soyfacing cuck baboons are raking in millions and spending millions on this shit.

God, fuck these people.

I do actually wonder if there's a tech version of Fatty now. Jayztwocents has done some dumb shit over the years(like drilling holes through motherboards) but for the most part ain't it. Linus is a petulant brat, but has managed success despite himself. Even unboxing monkey channels(idiot opens a product, nods his head listening to some shitty earbuds, has some camera shots of a watch, doesn't actually properly describe the product type shit) have a market of consoomers to make content for. I think maybe that quantum tv guy might count? But that's mostly just him pointing a camera at a TV and pretending he knows wtf he's talking about and is more boring than Fatty. A true tech version of Fatty would need content that's comically(and unironically) stupid on a regular basis. Hmm...

Scalfani's usual habit of not reading the instructions
Not very related but one thing I like about channels like Tech Tangents, EEVBlog and even 8bitguy, is that they do that to some degree but at the same time don't blame the equipment. Like, they see a manual big as a book and say "yeah, I'm not reading that" and then when misconfigure it or don't know how to use it, they go "yeah, time to read the manual" and go back knowing how to use it.

Not reading the manual I find interesting because it can show how user friendly it is but at the same time, blaming the product because you didn't read it is wrong.

A thing about the mouse. I don't know how no one of the 10+ people who had to worked on it noted that there was something wrong with it. In the review they said that one of the advantages was the PTFE(aka Teflon) "feets", Teflon should never be "sticky"

That's my usual habit, too. "When all else fails, read the manual."

I've never heard of a company that fucks with its entire network during business hours like LTT does
When did LTT hired Andy Milonakis?

You think they care about gary? Watch the last network video and they told him the internet wouldn't be down long and it was down for hours and linus shrugged it off. I think gary is the Milton of LTT.
At this point I believe this is the case. I wonder if Gary received a relocation package from LTT and is just stuck for a few years.

Are they turning the labs building into a LAN/Gaming center?

What year is this? Who goes to lan centers anymore? Is this because canada is filling up with indians and chinks??

Older Millennials, once or twice at most with friends. Easier to recapture some of that old energy with the gang when you don't have to have everyone rocking modern gaming machines that they might not be able to afford. I watched one or two of these open in my city every year up until the pandemic and they always fizzle out because the services offered just don't make much sense. Most gave up and pivoted to more specialist things like VR centers, or closed out entirely. I tried to find ones that opened since, but looks like lockdowns murdered the industry here entirely.

Vancouver might be a marginally better market for it because of the Asian population, net cafe's are a common thing over there, but its either wealthy asians or depressingly broke ones, neither of which are likely to be at the intersection of "Can afford cafe fees to spend long periods gaming" and "cannot afford a computer that plays the popular games". Most of the big titles these days are optimized to hell and back to run on budget rigs, you can play Fortnite, Valorant, CS, League, etc with a $600 box at decent settings, and a few of them will even run fine on an off the shelf school-ready laptop.

It’s just a lesbian (so far), she is the writer for The WAN Show. She’s actually normal in how she talks and acts, at least on camera, but she apparently does improv in the city.

This lan center/badminton video is like watching a 16 year old girl get a Ferrari, this is the last time you’ll see this space before it falls apart. Way too optimistic in this vision for a place that already has shit parking

IIRC the badminton place that Linus used to go closed down and then he said he would build a new one for it but from the looks of it, it looks like it will be something akin to the labs where his massive ego don't let him release it as an MVP and improve it over time
I wonder how his wife feels about this. He's supposed to be stepping back and not working insane days and staying away from home. Starting an entirely new business in an entirely new market segment is basically the opposite of that.

So linus has so much money that he can just spend millions so he can play badminton instead of going to any other place? Does LMG consult or contract outside of youtube? I can't see them making this kind of money on just youtube. Or is the chinese government - through yvonne - bankrolling these properties that will ultimately foreclose, so they can bypass property buying restrictions?

His poorly paid employees must be thrilled to be working on another failed venture instead of giving them a little extra.

Neither, he probably registered a new company, and took out a business loan through them to finance it based on a basic business plan and his preexisting evidence of being capable of running a business. To the bankers, probably all looks fine. I doubt there's anything particularly weird going on behind the scenes, or that Linus dumped more than maybe 250k into this - sizeable, but entirely realistic for him to have available for a 'lets try it' business opportunity.

LTT might be a retarded organization, but it did spend many years printing money.

One thing Asians are great at is having a good stable business, and using that to establish a new corporation or let the spouse start another business with a high chance of failure, using the loans to lightly line their pockets with inflated contracting to relatives or close friends, and then when that business fails use the tax write off for the family. And if the business actually takes off they just do it again with even bigger loans.

I’ve seen this twice in my area with Asian families who run dry cleaning and a optometrist then attempting different restaurants, and basically having that same restaurant change hands with family three times so far.

This entire badminton endeavor feels like it’s what Yvonne’s father actually wants to run for his own hustle, and being a Singaporean he probably automatically knows the tax codes to make it work.
