What are some must have games that you dont need a GPU to run and have a reasonable file size?

Help me make a list lads

This might give you an idea of what can run. Seems like anything made before Control and Days Gone should work great.

I can run many games. but my friends are poorfags and I want some games I can share with them on a flash drive
The C&C series then. My favorite was Red Alert 2. That or Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. The average smart phone has more power than my pc did back in those days.

Not sure about file size. Basing this on personal experience from 10 years ago. If my craptop from back then can run these, I'm sure it'll be fine. Was able to play F.E.A.R. on high settings at 60 FPS on that thing for some reason.
Thief Gold
Thief 2
Thief Deadly Shadows
System Shock
System Shock 2
F.E.A.R
Morrowind
Diablo 2
Torchlight
Rimworld
Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead
Duke Nukem 3D
Doom(obviously)
Doom 2
Doom 3

Thanks this is a great list.

Back when my 1070 shit the bed and I had to wait for a replacement some years back, my i5-6600 was surprisingly able to run some games at a serviceable level.

-Diablo 3 I think was running around 30 some odd frames
-League of Legends can run on anything so there's that
-I think TF2 ran alright as well
-CoD4 (older CoD's in general)

Basically start looking at games that came out around 2013 and before that aren't known to be overly taxing to begin with.

TF2 is ass in optimization. Online or offline play, you will get stutter for some godforsaken reason.

Any game with modding (i.e Skyrim, Gmod, DD) will get fucked if you have integrated graphics and running on a laptop. Best to use a desktop if possible.

League of Legends

I hate to admit that I played that trashfire, but my dell XPS 13 could run this even on low graphics mode. It has Intel HD 3000 in it but the cpu is a mobile sandy bridge which I think holds it back.
Besides that I've been able to play most early 2000s games and some modern indie games.

My life improved dramatically when I came to the realization that 95% of the games I would ever be interested in playing run perfectly fine on X-series ThinkPads.

my list
morrowind map of rebuilt.jpg

-Morrowind, it was made for xp, but its modding community can shape the game to what you want in terms of graphics and even content
sending in the triarria.jpg

-Rome/Medieval 2 Total war, Same story as morrowind, but a single campaign if your a sperg like me can last over 20 hours, they also have some great mods, admittedly to a lesser degree
Mount and Blade warband faction elites.jpeg

-Mount and Blade/Mount and Blade: Warband. you can get the original for like 2 bucks and test out the mechanics and see if the game is to your liking, Napoleonic warfare is my preferred fps due its variety of game modes
dummy duo.jpg

-Halo 2 cartographer abandonware edition, a classic for free, with a decent modding community and (in my opinion) the best story in the series.
Duc de Puce.jpg

-Stronghold Crusader, a classic rts with city building mechanics, its cast of goobers offer a variety of challenges and insight into the different play styles.
terraria_logo.jpg

-Terraria, a good sit down and comfy while also having the ability to be a boss rushing bullet hell.
kewl cheeen.png

-Touhou, they are a series of short but difficult games, their fan games are hardly demanding and are often free imitations of other games
Recettearmenu.gif

-Recetter, Capitalism HO, a trading game with a neat dungeon mini game, a toaster could run it.
XCOM-EU_Sectoids.jpg

- Xcom series, with the exception of XCOM 2 I can run all the games on a $200 HP laptop
I could probably scape up more, but this should be a good starting list

Halo Custom Edition and Halo 2 Project Cartographer are great multiplayer games with a still active community to this day due to it running on basically any system under the sun, H2C and normal Combat Evolved have great campaigns.

Halo Custom Edition needs some work done though, animations are capped at 30FPS, FOV is pitiful and proper wide-screen doesn't work, Chimera fixes all of that. Plus online doesn't work unless you install the patch Bungie made a few years ago, links for both below:
