I'll have to see about a MO. Which it's also great that it's at 1/3 (and counting given the error) just from cards. Crypto says it can't be accounted directly, and money orders would take some time.

The war chest will grow.

4~ hours to get 1/3rd of the funds is pretty damn heart warming and encouraging. I am SO PROUD of this community

More than that if you factor how many people are donating via crypto and banking orders.

It wouldn't surprise me if it reaches 50K within 24 hours.

Way more than that in 24 hours which is extremely satisfying and heartwarming to see, in 5 minutes of Null giving the URL people sent thousands and thousands which made the limit get hit almost instantly. I can definitely see the total at the end of the fundraise be around 300/400k. I underestimated how many rich crypto people used this website.

Out of curiosity, would it be feasible to have a public tally of how much you have received via the site, possibly as a community moral check?
Right click on the green bar on top of the site and click Inspect Element. In the line above there's a "aria-valuenow=" which tells you the amount received.

I'm sure luke is pissed that he can't drum up that amount of booger sugar money in such a short amount of time.

It is unlikely the limit will be lifted. I'll feature this tomorrow.
Regarding your Stripe problem, also try complaining on https://news.ycombinator.com/

Some people jokingly refer to it as the unofficial Stripe customer support system, because they have lots of employees who read HN and approximately zero who respond to support tickets through their internal tools. Just add enough detail to make it clear that you aren't a scammer mad they got busted.

Eg. "I have been a Stripe customer in good standing for 10(?) years, selling merchandise for my podcast and integrating with Gumroad for bonus podcast content..."

Isn't Hacker News known to be left-wing as shit? Meaning there is an outsized chance that even if the rest of that is true, the topic would just be buried in bullshit?

i got limit exceeded thing like others when i tried today. ill try tomorrow, if the limit has been reached then im going to hop over to usps and do a money order.
