Live Action/CGI Rescue Rangers Movie In The Works - Another one

We're at a point now where "live action" means "animated, just in a different way." God, kill me.

They're really getting desperate if Rescue Rangers is their new idea. That was a pretty obscure show, even in its heyday.
You must be pretty young if you think it was obscure. Rescue Rangers was part of the 'Disney Afternoon' block of cartoons; Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, Tail Spin, Goof Troop, Bonkers. Shows would get folded in and out but this was the reason you ran home after school. This was my childhood and I have fond memories of all of these shows except Bonkers.
Calling it now, they make it centered around Gadget so Disney and journos can spin it as the usual "Disney is so woke and feminist now" angle, but the true reason will be using her as furbait is their best shot as this thing actually having any success.
This is painfully accurate.

Is Goof Troop even part of the Disney Canon anymore? Imagine a realistic style Goof Troop movie that would look freaky as hell.

The other shit outside of Bonkers and Gargoyles is getting stuff made by Funko. But like characters like Max and PJ are entirely forgotten.

Even Gummi Bears is getting merchandise.

I guess what I meant to say was relitively obscure to the public. Not to kids who watched everyday. I too loved the show, but while my mother might've known the classic characters like Chip and Dale, she had no idea what the "Rescue Rangers" were.

So when you go from something like Aladdin to remake Rescue Rangers, see what I mean?

From what I've found, the Rescue Rangers fandom was the 90s equivalent to the Homestuck, Undertale, and Steven Universe fandoms.

More like bronies. There was no woke component to the Rescue Rangers fandom and, for some reason, it was largely Christian and rabidly homophobic.

I was referring to those fandoms because the worst parts of them were pretty damn cancerous (like the Rescue Rangers fags), not necessarily due to their 'woke' natures.

Oh God, the erotic fan fiction for children’s cartoons is always something that has freaked me out a little bit.

I remember first getting on the internet and stumbling onto fan written stories of Snarf fucking Lion-O and I was utterly perplexed.

If you need to sexualize something intended for children, Im sorry but I will immediately judge you and be wary of letting children go near you. Better safe than sorry.

Huh, WTF IS THAT?!?? :\

In the new DuckTales show, Goof Troop was referenced right in the pilot episode, when one of Scrooge McDuck's advisors mentioned "revenues are increasing in the Spoonerville and Saint Canard markets". Another episode was full of references to Gummi Bears.

BTW I don't like Goof Troop because it has nothing to do with the Disney comicbook universe, same with NewDuckTales, though I still like and watch it, it went totally off the road in season 2 and now feels less like an adaption of the Scrooge McDuck comicbooks, but more like a parody of them.

That's kind of weird since Goof Troop had two movies (though the second one really isn't worth mentioning) and I think Max appeared in at least one of those direct to DVD Christmas anthologies.

I've yet to meet anyone who has actually liked Bonkers. I watched these shows when they were airing and I don't even remember Bonkers, which really says something.

That is to the Disney cartoons what some Hanna Barbera cartoon you don't even remember is for the Hanna Barbera cartoons. I'd say Magilla Gorilla but I sort of remember that.

The only good thing about Bonkers was Miranda Wright, and she wasn't even a good enough character to watch the whole show for. It was shit.

I just dread a resurgence of badly done Gadget porn.

Someone beat me to it, but literally all I ever see from Bonkers is that blonde. Who's to say she was actually a character past just being.... stacked.

But don't worry, I'm sure a live action reboot is in the works too; it's just another 'lesser' title. But I'm sure the blonde will be played by Brie Larson.
