How many pounds does she weigh? Because if it's over 350 I think the CPS could get involved and charge her for neglect. I remember that happened to a teenager that weighed over 600 pounds and the mother was charged.

To be fair, BMI is flawed because according to it, Crusher O'Flaherty who plays for Wigan at the back of the scrum is obese but that's entirely muscle.

However, just because it doesn't take all factors into account doesn't mean that if you're 5' 4" and weigh 25 stone, you're very probably a Fat Bastard.

How can people be so dim as to think that one comparatively minor flaw in a scale or tool automatically means it's wrong.

BMI of 40 plus inability to fit through doors frontways equals extreme need to quit shoving the pies in your face.
 
This whole problem glasses thing is why I don't wear my horn rims any more. They were 150 dollar designer horn rims, but since they look like problem glasses, I'm stuck wearing my wireframes.

It's gotten to the point where aviators are back in style.

Yeah, you're right. But note that everyone who whines about BMI is obese. It's never a big muscled guy.
