This (my) argument is really gay, and I admit I'm just playing thought exercises, but that's imperialism. Like, everyone bitches about how we went to the Middle East and tried to spread democracy and shit. The moment we left they went right back to it. So, if you'd use that argument, you'd probably need to station the death camps for lolicon/pedo in Asian countries forever and they'd get right back to it once we left, because they normalize it.

Presicesly why I avoid most modern anime and gacha or idol shit that my gf likes. I've been showing her way better stuff that represent the potential for the medium. (Though her tastes aren't bad, she has me reading Goodnight Punpun and it's really good).

You get the idea. Good stories and directions. Stuff that's also fun to watch. Anime needs more insane animators like Richard Williams with giant budgets and funding because there are amazing stories and narratives to be told and expressed in 8+ frames at any given second. Needs way more expression on characters and there's only few anime that ever came close and they're from bygone eras or miracles of production. The enshittification of anime studios make it hard to get into anime beyond manga these days. Studios will put more effort into fucking degenerate hentai than they will adaptations of popular manga.

Japanese animation has no (good) future, unironically. Once the old legends fall that's it in my opinion. Japan's culture faded away and morphed into a shadow of what they were long ago and it's no wonder why the last big ones are in their 40s, 50s and 60s by now. You'll get more dogshit from overworked and lazy animators. And the legends are already falling off in quality or being bought out to be wasted on horrible Adult Swim projects (Shinchiro Watanabe of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo wasted years on Lazarus, ofc all legends have their falls unless they prematurely die).


Anime should be a living reincarnation of their ancient paintings. An extension of the idea. More stuff like this.

Isekai is such a horrible thing. You die and end up somewhere not japan. It's a power fantasy for those with impotent rage. Such a childish genera yet it is so pervasive. Why? My first guess is that is what the market demands. Everyone hates it over there. It's a horrifying thing, a place that has so much potential just fucked over by mismanagement. We are watching a culture collapse in real time. It's so bad that the government's solution is "let's add pajeets" Nothing in the history of the human race was improved by pajeets. Those fucks discovered indoor plumbing and STILL shit on the streets or the beach.

I could be mixing things up, but I kinda remember seeing some trivia before then about it being illegal on like an area by area level rather than a country wide level back in the day as a response to pedophiles squealing about it being legal over there. I'm too tired to check right now but if I'm right then at least that's a little bit of a positive.

Its not as bad as india but theyre not peak humanity either despite how much weebs insist otherwise. I dunno about impotent rage, more like the classic "you were always meant to be special" trope. People joke that Harry Potter was the first isekai, and while that's silly, it's very similar in that a new world of possibilities has awakened for you.

There are a few good iseaki. But today they would be called "reverse iseaki" like when the magical world comes to the real world. That is different. Another is where the cast is trying to get home Jumangi style. The ones where they want to stay and give up on getting back are pure blackpill if you think on it hard enough. The Jap would rather die and start over than continue on or get back to their old life.

But if you think on the implications, it says a fuck ton about Japan as a nation if you'd rather be hit by a truck, die in horrifying pain, your limbs crushed and twisted, and start anew in a RNG generated world where you could be born to a poor peasant as much as a king, than live one more second in your homeland.
