CGL quickly called the spurging of who it is, so it's interesting to watch her go full autistic vendetta attack on here. As you can see in her reply to me, she took the bait and went mentally ill in a paragraph that made no sense and wasn't worth a read. She's the same derange as the salty lolitas she's going after and it's just painfully embarrassing to watch coming from an ex-lolita. I wasn't aware of her saying something about hijab lolitas nor do I give a shit about it. I only read the caps from 4chan & lolcow about her saying shit about the blacks and extreme racism was the reason for her bans: posting discord mods as revenge. I'm just saying she not very bright to immediately post discord mods on here if she was just got banned from said discord groups. Most lolitas are gulls and it was easy to spot the vendetta when they lurk threads knowing the drama. Even if the mods are snowflake SJWs, she's not far off from being on the same spectrum as them. The only reason why this thread kept going was because of her bring the lolita drama updates, until people on 4chan caught on that she was ita plaque chan weeb. Some enjoyed her mass shit-stirring until they found out she was a hypocrite and then her posting on here went dry. People on here had no clue what was going on here with her and probably don't give a shit for an embarrassment of a cow.

Positive, it's missing the typical silhouette or presence of a blouse. She just has cutesy shoes. While the artist who did that album artwork is a lolita (her name is Kira Imai and she often draws lolitas regardless of who she's working with), the fashion she's wearing in the video is not.
I googled "bonjour suzuki lolita fashion" and didn't get many hits outside of art from Kira Imai. From what I guess, Bonjour Suzuki may just like the superficial aesthetic of the fashion, but I can't find any pics of her wearing a full outfit. She seems to be wearing what's known as larme-kei.

That it has something to do with a fetish for age-gap relationships between young women and old geezers. It's not crazy as fas as misconceptions go.
I have seen normies boomers expressing uneasiness at the sight of them because of that.

It's not the case tho. It's just a very elaborated, female-dominated fashion subculture, that is now mostly obsolete in Japan I think. But it is something some dude find sexually appealing.

To be fair, that's mostly the sweet substyle. Especially the pastel vomit styling. Goth is usually just viewed as goth by the general population and classic is usually viewed as some historical reinactment or stage play shit. Pastel vomit sweet is just the most popular and most eye catching/memorable to people who encounter it.

With all respect I disagree. May depend on the styling but Almost no matter the style you often have Ornate frilly dress worn with aprons and petticoats, bows or headbands on the head, lots of cutesy details, mini-bags, heart-shaped accessories, white socks, a whimsical feel, the type of print and fabrics, toy motifs, a "human-doll" kind of feel ... those are all very child-like elements. On top of that it's costumey.

Maybe Kuro Lolita can pass as gothic because all the frills are black but Gothic Lolita not so much, and the popular black and white color scheme is very "French Maid".

I am not knocking people down for participating! But not matter the style it's overly ornate and detailed, precious, retro, impractical, infused by a certain vision of childhood (Alice in Wonderland is big) and a certain idealization of Old Europe. So rococo-toddler-maid. Of course inside the culture you understand it but to the uninitiated ...

I think it's also the point... It seems to be escapism from normal society, to me. But if you espace normal society, normies from said society doesn't have the key to understand your vision anymore. Plus the impulse to escape society into a world of imagination is a bit of a regression into a more child-like state. It's healthy to regress from time to time, though, still not knocking it down.

Most of the Victorian Lolita fashion I've seen doesn't fit that though. Its all very...well, Victorian. Not the type of stuff you put a child into. Sweet Lolita is the one that's overtly cutesy and whimsical. Victorian and gothic eschew that entirely.

Exactly this. Goth itself isn't cutsey at all, nor is classic.

This is an example of what would be a popular gothic print (though a lot of goth lacks prints entirely).
Goth is often fairly minimalistic with a lot of angular or a line cuts vs the rounder and frillier cuts and mass of cutesy details seen in sweet.

Gathering is used in a lot of modern women's dresses and skirts, especially now with Prarie style dresses making a slight comeback. Same for small bow ribbon details.
And having a print/scene on a dress or skirt isn't unheard of in general gothic fashion. However, as I mentioned, gothic lolita more often than not does not have a print. I just provided what a print would look like in gothic that didn't have the motifs you mentioned. By this point, you are moving the goal posts. It's okay to be misinformed about a fashion you don't participate in and likely just know from anime.
Also show me a child that dresses remotely like that.
Edit: Here's a (non lolita) gothic brand, restyle, which had skirts and dresses with prints, bows, and gathering. If you think any of these models are wearing things a child should wear, I think you need to to take a seat over there.
