looking through cat adoption websites makes me so sad.

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.

You should really adopt a couple. Two is just as easy as one.
Or if you want, get a cat and a dog. My dad has a small little black cat and a huge black lab/german shephard mix dog, and they're best friends.
I don't know if anyone else has experiences with owning a dog and a cat but from what I've seen the two of them can get along very easily.

i had a cat and dog together before. they weren't best friends, but they didnt fight my dog did seem to want to be friendly with the cat, but the cat didnt reciprocate the feeling. as for getting one right now, im not much of a dog person, plus i'd have to keep the dog indoors and i dont like indoor dogs. though if i ever manage to get a house with land like i really want, ill get me a big outdoor dog to help keep the coyotes and niggers at gay.

I am not in a position to be ready to adopt a pet, and while I do like cats I'm also allergic to most of them so I would likely get a dog which is more work. If I were to get a dog I've always wanted a Dachshund and one time I did look online at listings and there were a pair of older girl Dachshunds that were listed together because they've been life long friends. I was very close to going from 0 pets to 2 dogs that day but they were several hundred miles away.

i do like wiener dogs.(i refuse to ever use that disgusting term dachshund) if i was looking to get a smaller breed of dog id consider getting me one of those hot dog boys.

If you happen to adopt a kitten it may be best to adopt another with it; people often run into problems with a cat that bites too hard when they adopt a single kitten because the human is the only source of play when they have. When kittens and other carnivorans play with their siblings, they learn bite inhibition: if they bite their siblings too hard, the sibling will not want to play with them anymore and will try to run away. Since a cat's baby teeth don't really hurt when they try to bite as hard as they can, a human will often not react, and it can be difficult to teach them not to bite too hard.

also makes me feel so guilty to pick one of these kitties over the rest.
I've found the best result comes from adopting kittens of 2 or more who are already bonded. That way they have someone to play with and keep them company even when you're not around.

I remember watching an episode of my cat from hell, this absolute legend had a large space to accommodate around 30 cats; but this wasn't like a hoarding situation or anything like that, they were all well taken care of, it was just one cat that was misbehaving.

Also adopt black cats/kittens if you can; they tend to be adopted a lot less due to superstition around them; but I think they're cool. I would have adopted a pair of bonded black kittens but I was turned down :(.

…. Nobody better ask how many cats I have. Just mind your own

Take him home and give this old dude a glow up.

Look for a bonded pair. It's traumatizing for surrendered cats to be separated from their cat frens.
