looking through cat adoption websites makes me so sad.

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
update: my new kitty is doing good. took him to the vet this morning for the wellness checkup the shelter requires. vet said he is healthy and a good kitty. last night he adopted to his new home really well. didnt take long before he got comfortable. even curled up in bed with me when i went to sleep. only thing is he hates baths more than any other cat ive seen. my right arm is torn to shreds as punishment for even daring to try to give the king a bath.

Why do we give government subsidies to people that contribute nothing and can't comfortably raise 4 kids instead of to people in the working class who work 40 hours a week and can't comfortably own 4 animals. It's genuinely bullshit, a sweet lil kitten wouldn't get shot on the street at 13 and undo all the financial input.

Or if you want, get a cat and a dog. My dad has a small little black cat and a huge black lab/german shephard mix dog, and they're best friends.
I don't know if anyone else has experiences with owning a dog and a cat but from what I've seen the two of them can get along very easily.
Just make sure there's no shitbull in the dog or you're a NIGGER

If the dog is from a shelter, good luck avoiding that. Even the chihuahuas are half pit.
as others have pointed out, it is funny how shelters will try to portray the most obvious shitbull and half shitbull as being something else. even if you arnt on team total pitbull death, you have to realize from a utilitarian point of view that giving all these unadoptable pittbull the old yella' treatment would be a better use of the limited resources which shelters are constrained by. get rid of the shitbulls so that those resources can go to dog breeds which people will actually want to adopt.

ive now had my new kitty for 1 week. a bit of an update: so far he has been a very good kitty. shelter required me to take him to the vet when i got him, the vet gave him a clean bill of health. he settled in very quickly and in no time seems to have accepted this as his new home. he has been friendly and affectionate towards me this week. he sees me sitting on the couch, it isnt uncommon for him to come running up meowing at me and jump up to join me. at bed time he comes running to my bedroom with me and jumps up on the bed to sleep at my feet. he has even been pretty good about not trying to claw up my furniture. overall it seems that i got a pretty good kitty.

What really, really makes me cry is the that depending on the site owners will not even give the animal a name and it's given a generic letter and number. A baby animal that's not even wanted is degraded to just a number on a page. That is so fucked to me. And then we do it to people too.

i do like wiener dogs.(i refuse to ever use that disgusting term dachshund) if i was looking to get a smaller breed of dog id consider getting me one of those hot dog boys.
Please do. Our Dachshund was the best family dog we could've asked for and was the most indestructible dog I'd ever known.
