I think that it likely does help but it would help much more to fix your attitude

I guess so, I mean everyone has seen at least a couple of ugly cool guys picking up average (or better) women, but I can't say I've seen anyone who acts like Cho Seung Hui pick up decent women. I'm still fixated on my appearance mostly though lol. I am going on holiday in a few months and need to cut down below 10% body fat or it's game over for me.

Then maybe you should try to stop acting like Cho Seung Hui rather than trying to get to 10% bodyfat

It's cool, my behavior's decent, just a bit shy about talking to women unless I'm tipsy. The type of guy where if my friends are saying "that girl keeps checking you out, go and talk to her!" I'd be like "nahhhh". It's all good if I drink though, and I drink when I go for a night out, so I haven't really noticed the disadvantage.

i assure you this sort of thinking will more than negate any benefit you get from having abs.

Who would have thought that shoving yourself in front of women when you're anxious from thinking about scoring all day would be a tough way to get laid?
I'll bet it will be easier if you go to a super loud club full of ultra thirsty dudes... did you try that?

Yeah it's a lot easier at those places. But there are a lot of women who will make out and grind and all of that stuff but it doesn't lead to going home with them that night. Also my dancing skills have degraded over the last few years lmao, I'm transforming into a wedding dad.

If that guy really takes magic mushrooms every single day for five years he's going to end up like the Mad Hatter. LMAO.

The life ends at 20 stuff is retarded, everyone knows women like guys older than they are. It's just because quite a few of the guys prefer 14 year old girls, or for mrz his tastes are a bit more deviant than that.

Hyoid position has a very dramatic effect on how defined your jawline is.

This part of your post is intelligent and I agree.

This part is autistic as fuck.

LOL well yeah it does sound autistic but to be fair it's the names of the bones. It's pretty much always going to sound strange saying things like "maxilla" and "hyoid" outside of a medical setting.

I don't need the hyoid surgery myself, but I have had stuff done. I finished with surgery over a year ago and I like my face now. Before surgery I was very depressed about how my face looked and it affected my confidence and quality of life as a result. I didn't feel like I was just ugly, I felt that I was deformed to the point where people would notice and stare. Through school I got a few comments about certain features. This didn't happen often, I think maybe five times in my school life, but each time it really hit home and stuck with me and I can still clearly remember each incident. Since I fixed what I still believe were huge deformities I've just been working on my physique.

I roll with a similar crowd in my day to day life. Not internet geeks like I am, but people who are a bit vain, with some of them having had surgery too or at least considering it. If you look at England you will see that the culture of vanity there is becoming extremely common. It might even be the majority of young people in England depending on which area you visit. Look at Essex as an example. Watch this trend spread through the rest of the world.

Hehe that's okay. This is where I will differ from you guys because I think surgery is a worthy pursuit depending on if you are really bothered by how you look and if you have realistic expectations.

My quality of life is much better now, it's been well worth the money. My confidence improved dramatically and more women are interested in me.

What would your reasons be for thinking that it's not worth it?

We just simply don't believe that it has any of those effects. If it did then we would all get it (or at least we would all consider getting it depending on the cost)

It doesn't for everybody. It's probably to do with the individual and their mindset. I had quite realistic goals and had certain things which were actually very bad. For a fact I felt more confident as soon as the surgery was done, and I still feel that way, so it does have a positive effect for some people.

On the other hand there are a small number of people who expect to be able to pick up women by just standing in the corner and talking like Cho after surgery, or who have mental illnesses. Also there are some people who already have good features and want huge, risky surgery to make them a fraction of a millimeter better.

Not sure if you're aware but there's someone on the forum called sephon, changed his username to sephy. He had a LeFort 1 (YouTube it), which is a really invasive surgery that cuts out your upper jaw and repositions it. After the surgery he looks much better and doesn't need anything else done from what I can see, but he's still upset. I think he might have depression that's not related to his appearance, so fixing his appearance won't correct that. If sephon was buff and tanned he'd be good to go with women I think.
