Yeah, there are some super spergy teenagers on there that I feel really bad for - one kid's, like, 14-15, and he's trying to get people to tell him what surgeries he needs to fix his face, even though he looks perfectly normal. At least some people are telling him to enjoy life, but most people are saying he's doomed. It's a total crab pot situation.

A guy that I love on YouTube, J.T. Sexkik, actually talked a bit about online communities and its effects on teenagers and other people who may be having a crisis of identity and are looking for places to fit in and people to call friends. It was mainly focused on Tumblr but honestly the phenomenon can be also related to SlutHate. He did, imo, one of the most perfect descriptions of what happens when you go too deep into fringe groups like the SJW Tumblr crowds or SlutHate or any of that nonsense.
tl;dw Basically, if you surround yourself in a hugbox full of people who do nothing but reinforce shitty ideas then, eventually, you will come to love and embrace these shitty ideas and it can really fuck up your life.
This is why things like the really obsessive Tumblr blogs and SlutHate and the weird reddits and everything just fascinate and terrify me. These places promote ideologies and lifestyles that say provide the answers to everything while answering nothing, and just indoctrinate people who are coming in from the outside with self-destructive ideas that will basically fuck them up, especially if they're impressionable young teenagers. It's surprisingly easy to pass off shit like faux-Communist anarchy or Lookism or "You are Pikachu in your soul" to teenagers who want to feel unique and special in a world that's beginning to stop catering to their every whim. There's really no solution other than to take the blue bill and eject.
Because that red pill isn't reality. It's just laced with a lot of drugs.

All the elements are there, it's fairly common for teenagers not to feel like they can trust adults, sometimes even their peers. Then they go online. Online where the adults in charge are obsessive people with nothing better to do and frequently emotionally stunted somewhere in their late teens. People like @Null and @glave and @lookismadmin are running the show. At a time when you could naively wander down the wrong path as nobody understands you and you might not think it's so weird that there is an adult that also says nobody understands them. Of course your parents don't understand you because they forgot what it was like at your age whereas your new pen pal is misunderstood by everyone because he has an imaginary pony wife, is oppressed by the patriarchy for being a straight leaning demisexual masculine leaning transperson, or other adults don't get along with him because he tells them that 15 year olds should be able to consent, which makes sense to you at the time.
These are people you will avoid as an adult but as a child raised on disney movies full of lovable misunderstood outcasts and happy endings, no this person is a ragebox because of their situation, just like you, they're not schizophrenic or a barely functional autistic. Nah.
I'm pretty sure that when I was a teenager grown men hit on me a few times but I was oblivious to what was going on since I barely knew what getting hit on looked like let alone expected it from a man. I have to wonder what kind of weird sex abuse is coming out of tumblr, sjws, and some of these manosphere sites. Then again when I was a teenager I'm sure these guys were able to operate with relative impunity compared to today.
