Also, it's definitely worth noting that this "company"/"brand"/whatever they're trying to be, CornerVeis, has almost no original photos to advertise their own pieces of clothing or accessories on their website. Most if not all of the photos are directly swiped straight from Amazon, YesStyle, DollsKill, and other, actually legitimate clothing sites that cater specifically to harajuku/lolita fashion. Even spotted them attempting to sell a shady dupe of a Marine Serre top as their own. The only products on their site that might be their own are the wigs, but I only say that because wigs are the one thing in cosplay that I've never worked with or ever learned fuck all about, so I wouldn't be able to tell.

I have been reading this thread in bits over the last couple of days and one thing that sticks out to be about Lori's sad fate is how much easier it used to be to get the type of attention and minions that Lori craves back when the internet was more sparsely populated (and less cynical) pre-social media. That goes for weeb culture in general too. Back in the early 2000s all she needed was a Livejournal, a Geocities-level website, and mediocre hair extensions, and she managed to get quite a decent following and a team of literal minions. (Of course she pissed it all away with her personality and burned her bridges). Now she still seems to think she can keep repeating that success with the same amount of effort. Not realizing that she's competing with 100 times as many people, and most of those people are willing to put in far more work. Back when cosplaying was niche and you could stick out just by being reasonably good looking and having decent hygiene, you could probably get away with being more of a cunt.

Most web 1.0 people who had internet fame luckily seem to have grown up and moved on, but the ones who didn't don't seem to be doing much better than Lori in general.

I disagree with the person who said there is no use for anime cosplayers over 25 though. Sure, most anime characters are underage young, but the fans who accept their age and cosplay older characters are usually appreciated. Not anime but I love this one:
