As a parent with two daughters, the eldest just into her teens, I worry about the shit they're exposed to online, not just the troon shit but all kinds of degenerate shit seemingly being pushed everywhere now, even by "officials" like educators and doctors and such, and the easy access and sheer depravity of porn, etc, which is something my generation never really had when I was their ages.
It's a dilemma as a parent, you don't want to be too "coddling" because that just makes kids go the other way even more, and there's no way to completely shelter them from all that shit anyway, so we've just tried to make sure that the relationship we have with our kids is such that they know they can talk to us about anything that concerns them without being embarrassed, and they're smart kids, they know what's up and when somethings not right, but its certainly a fine line.
I used to look at my Dad when I was a kid and think he had it all figured out, it's only now at my age I realize that's not really the case, you just play it by ear, day by day, and hope you don't end up burning the kitchen down in the process.

Yup. Fortunately people are still wired towards normalcy and most kids are going to come out ok, figure things out and have kids on their own.

Just gotta try to spend time with them, watch their online habits and watch out for bad influences.

Unfortunately bad influences today are often groomer teachers.

I'm always confused by troons who think bi people will be in to them. Bi people like both men who look like men and women who look like women, not men mutilated by surgery and exogenous hormones to attempt to look like women and vice versa.
As the bisexuals put it, "I like pizza and I like ice cream. For the love of god, don't dip my pizza in cold milk or put marinara sauce on my ice cream."

Funny how those traits are a running theme in a lot of the stories in this thread. I can't help but wonder if there's a connection.
In the Transbian Thread @SouthernBitchBob stated that their lesbian friend "created an excellent troon filter by stating on her profile(s) that she hates video games and anime."

I wasn't sure whether to post this in Sideshow or SRS thread but it echos a lot of skepticism and sentiments I see in this tread so I am posting here:
When Students Change Gender Identity, and Parents Don’t Know NYT (Archive) 1/22/23
It's a pretty thorough article on how schools are not telling parents the kids claiming to be trans, as well as parental rights and skepticism. Here are the highlights:
  • Jessica Bradshaw, mom found out her daughter (15y/o) was trans and identified they were a boy for 6 months
  • Surprise surprise, daughter has autism, ADHD, PTSD and anxiety
  • Kid had a rough time during pandemic lockdowns, suffers from identify crisis and repeatedly changes name and sexual orientation (all kids have issues finding out who they are, most don't change genders though)
  • Daughter tried to come out but parents didn't take her seriously (can you blame them?)
This one is extremely horrifying:
Some teachers have been penalized for notifying parents that their children changed names and pronouns at school. One father in Massachusetts, Stephen Foote, said he had only learned that his 11-year-old had done so after the child’s sixth-grade teacher, Bonnie Manchester, confided in him. Ms. Manchester was later fired, in part for disclosing “sensitive confidential information about a student’s expressed gender identity against the wishes of the student,” according to her termination letter.
Most said they identified as liberal, and that the living room was a rare safe space for them to voice their fears. Some parents didn’t think their teenagers were really transgender. Others thought it was too soon to know for certain. Most said their children had mental health conditions, such as bipolar disorder, or autism.
These poor parents want answers and rightfully so, instead they just get called transphobic for questioning the ideology. The monster they created is now after them. They discuss in secret because Fox News commentators are the only ones who will listen.
Courts have ruled that under the Fourteenth Amendment, parents get to make medical and mental health decisions for their children, as well as direct their education and upbringing in other ways, unless they are abusive or unfit. But lawyers for schools have countered that parental rights aren’t absolute. Under the Biden Administration, the Department of Education has said that discriminating against students based on gender identity violates federal policy, although its guidance doesn’t specifically address parental rights.
There ya have it, Biden says no parental rights if someones 11-year old girl wants to be a boy. Wanting to transition with hormones, mastectomies and other extreme surgeries seems to fall under mental and medical health to me. I hope this goes up to the supreme court and puts and end to this lunacy.

Anecdotal: I have seen parents v. schools before from personal observation, the parents always win. They can be verbally abusive and blame the teachers for all sorts of things and the teacher has almost zero backup. Its partly why schools treat students with kid gloves because they don't want to anger the parents.

When is the damn gonna break and a parent going to kill one of these groomers. If I was on that jury no way in hell I let someone go to jail for killing the person who groomed their child and many normal people are same. You could easily get a hung jury unless you live in a upwardly mobile urban/suburban area if you killed a teacher or guidance counselor who trooned your kid out. The father who blasted the pedo in the airport in front of police forced the prosecution into a plea bargain where he didn't do any jail time. First you cannot send you kids to public school if you can afford to period. At private schools you can get teachers fired in a fucking second for injecting their bullshit into your kids, rich folk don't play that shit unless they are shitlibs. Personally I do not know how someone avoids killing people who try and do this to their kids; next to your child being literally raped or killed I cannot think of much worse of a thing to do to them.

I have one friend that's halfway transitioned I can think of right now. I met him about 4 years ago now and when I met him he was in a long term relationship with his gf at the time. When I proposed to my wife he not long after did the same to his gf (quick mention that his roommates hated her because she was useless around the house and lived there for free). She said no and for a very short while he began to drink a lot more. But with our friend group we managed to put a stop to that pretty early. And then unfortunately his older brother had hung himself and then it began.

Most of my friend group is part of the alphabet committee but for the most part it's not their entire personality. Idk how much or if there was any influence from others but I don't want to assume anything. He started to watch Ru Paul's drag shit, then started to get more and more of those squish stuffed animals whatever the fuck their called, started to become hmmm... soft. He had kind of a twink build anyways so he was already a little effeminate.

I knew at one point or another he started to ask my wife about hair care and makeup products. And while I was working my wife let me know he was coming over to learn about makeup stuff. I get home and he's in a dress, wig, and heavy heavy makeup. I tried to be as supportive as I could but in the back of my head I just couldn't stop thinking "awe fuck he looks so fucked up". Now at this point he now uses they/them and now wears a lot of unisex clothes but idk I'm just worried that he's gonna become a statistic.

Anyways sorry for the long post but fuck me I know he's trying to fix the outside to fix the inside and for a long time it was hard to look at him. Even now I never want to see him in women's clothes again.

So an old female friend of mine went full ftm and also married her mtf partner. Also, she's now pregnant. (They got another one of their polycule friends to donate sperm to impregnate before she starts taking hormones. The mtf already had the surgery and was rendered sterile.) Both are now full queer identity and it's all they talk about and do. Everything in their life now revolves around it.

Thing that really put a pit in my stomach is that they already are expecting the kid to have their own "trans/queer journey" before the kid is even born. It's literally still in the womb and they are already planning for their "coming out day", "surgery day", and "first activism."

That kid is going to delt a massive bad hand and I feel for them. Feels like they'll have no real chance in the world.

Nothing horrifies me more than children being dragged into this mess. Those parents doing this on purpose... they're evil.

This is the whole reason the "pansexual" label was invented. Some realized early on that the bi community would generally not go for them so they made a label for chasers. Some trannies are definitely still not satisfied with that.

That’s why the word “pansexual” exists.

They basically needed a word for “I will fuck troons”.

“Pansexual”=“I will fuck anything that has an orifice I can stick something in!”
Got beaten to it, damn. One thing I've wondered for a while is if the pan label actually pisses trannies off that want to act like they are true and honest versions of either sex they are trying to emulate.

Dude, I hate to say it and I know it’s not what you want to hear, but you failed your friend.

(And obviously you had nothing to do with the trauma that made him troon out.)

The reason for sneaking around about the makeup is that your opinion is important to him, and deep inside he knows it looks ridiculous.

You should have told him that in no uncertain terms, and that he will never be a woman.

It may be too late now, it may not. But you owe it to him to let him know your thoughts.

That’s what friends are for after all. Support, love and hard truths.

@Fapcop I do feel that way already. He did say to my wife that between everyone in our friend/dnd group me and the one other straight guy were the ones he was most nervous about telling.

For one I feel a little stuck because for one, I am very confident I say something even approaching "you will never be a woman" my friend group for the most part would ostracize me. They've all had a big swig of the perverbial kool-aid so while I'm more of a centrist they are very far ledt leaning so I already tend not to share my opinions about things like this. For ease of life. I should also clarify that he never tried to hide the makeup thing.

And the one consolation is that they don't wear women's clothes as far as I know. For a hot second he wore skirts, blouses, and a few other things.

Maybe this is all just cope, most likely just cope, but I think he's done a bit of reversing cause like I said he seems to have evened out to at least not be a troon and just "neutral"

I do want to say too compared to other stories on this thread it could be a lot worse and I feel for all kiwi widows here.

Also correct me if im wrong, but won't it fuck with the child in the womb anyways? I can't imagine having a mom with abnormal amounts of testosterone being good for a child in the womb.

I keep wondering the same.
A regular, normal woman is told to not drink at all, not smoke at all, and be extremely cautious with any and all medication.

Then a troon is "you go girl!" I mean "King"

Excess testosterone during pregnancy 'masculinises' female foetuses, giving them ambivalent or pseudo male genitalia. It's why whenever a female troon 'seahorse dad' gets pregnant and has a son I get the absolute creeps. Very few of them seem to have daughters. I don't think this is a coincidence.

Of course it isn’t.

Since when have women taken excess testosterone in pregnancy?

Never! That’s when! Apart from female Troons of course.
