When I think of a city with some "heavy elements" I think of Detroit, Atlanta, Chicago, Oakland, Memphis, Baltimore, Houston not Spo-Compton (what this stoner chick from San Diego who I knew that went to U of Idaho in Moscow called it)

Seems like out West the majority of street gangs are Latino where on the East coast more of them are African American. The inland NW must be like the South in that it has tons of redneckish (the South IS redneck lol) people who do meth.

Why would Seattle people improve Spokane so much?

People from British Columbia are totally different than Americans. They seem more happy on average to be honest. If he could survive (or even be allowed in at all) he would probably dig Vancouver. Based on my research, I'd take Vancouver over everything north of Sacramento too (I do like California).

Yeah Spokane has that Republican (I hate both parties and am a Libertarian) right winger Hannitys America thing going on that's why the cops are probably bigger assholes there than the "more liberal" West of the Cascades coastal areas. For example, when I've visited SoCal (know by the Hannity watchers to be a "leftist haven") I hardly even saw any cops but when you go to Faux news watcher enclaves like Atlanta, Georgia there are cops EVERYWHERE. Anywhere where they love to watch that bs on Fox News (the GOP suckers have forgotten that billionaires own that shit and are just using it to brainwash them for their agenda) there will be a police state mentality.

I doubt the Wern reads this thread but You're right Seattle would be better for him- more social programs, more stuff to do, lots of wifi, U of Washingtons massive libraries to read and study about teleomeres and Bernie Sanders in, etc. You would think being from Olympia would make the Wern say to himself "Hey man my little town is pretty basic, maybe I should try Seattle" but I've never heard that from him.

Boise and Spokane look like little boring ass towns with a basic downtown and suburbs full of strip malls and uptight (fearful of what they see on the news) suburbanite commuters with basic shit nightlife kind of like the majority of Southern cities. Depending on what you age is and what your interests are, you'll either hate Spokane or love it. There isn't a ton for the under 21 crowd to do, the music/bar scene is okay, restaurants are great, good craft beers and awesome hiking trails and tons to do outside in the summertime. Lots of winter activities to do as well if you like that sort of thing. I personally think it's a great place to live and I love it here.

Downtown is pretty bad with the homeless crowds. The bus plaza is disgusting and you have both the homeless people and plaza rats down there. I suppose there is gang activity around here, I don't see much of it and there isn't a ton on the news about it. We have lots of property crime in almost all the neighborhoods, even the "good" ones. There are a lot of meth addicts around here...you can always pick them out easily. The 20/30 some odd year old riding around on a BMX bike with a backpack on.

I've been out a few times downtown, and haven't seen him grouped in with the other homeless people. I personally feel that his last YouTube videos might have gotten him involuntarily committed at Sacred Heart. Possibly like his counselor saw them and contacted the authorities? After Sacred Heart has determined he's still not ready to be let out, they usually send those who need a lot of help over to Sunnyside, Washington which is 185 miles away. He could also potentially be at Eastern State Hospital which has 91 beds for severely mentally ill adults and have committed by the court.

If I'm proven wrong I'll eat my words, but I call bullshit.

1.) Lucas does not have the self-control to shut the fuck up in exchange for housing. He has a history of getting kicked out of shelters for being a shitdisturber and the latest videos he had been posting showed only an increasing descent into madness.

2.) The Dr Phil thing totally smacked of the usual trolling/catfishing that Lucas consistently has fallen for. Remember his "lawyer" who was totally going to help him get millions from Starbucks in a discrimination suit? There has been bits and pieces here and there about how he had supposedly been in touch with Dr Phil's people and it was super dodgy. Plus, it doesn't make sense to me that Dr Phil would blame Lucas's mom since it's very obvious that Lucas has a lot that is wrong with his brain organically, in the way of chemical imbalance, and that anything arising from experience and life circumstances is only a secondary explanation of his behavior.
