He is completely and totally aware of his actions. Like every other lolcow, he only brings up his mental health, to use it to excuse his actions. Just like Chris and Phil. I came home so fucked up that I'm rated at 100 percent by the VA for PTSD. Know who's responsible for my actions? Me. Just like Lucas is responsible for his. His parents are useless, and never taught him accountability, and that he isn't the problem, everyone else is the problem. All you need to see the type of parenting he had, is that blog Myrna posted, about how a girl he loved didn't return the sentiment, and how she didn't invite him to a party or no one showed up to his party. I can't remember the entirety, but it pretty much was nothing but how her special little boy was mistreated and undeserving of the treatment and woe is her.

That’s also such a stupid statement. A social life is defined by spending time with other people. Nothing is preventing him from doing that. Maybe the casts if he can’t walk long distances, but a bus pass is like $2. Or if he was actually a decent person he could make and keep friends who could pick him up.

Lucas, you can go to a bar. Even with no money. Not all bars have a cover charge, and you can get a water or sometimes even a soda for free. You can go wander around (or even sit at) the mall or a bookstore. If you had friends like a normal person, you could go to their home and hang out for free. There are countless things you still could do while living at Mallon with no money if you were even a shred of a normal, likeable human being. But you’re not, and THAT is why you don’t have a social life, not because your money is finally being spent wisely for a change.

Women are strong and smart and should have all the freedoms men do…..but we are also pieces of property that need to be saved from the men FatAss doesn’t approve of. I guess women can have freedom of choice…as long as Lucas approves.

Lucas is completely culpable and not just in a forensic sense, but in a much fuller and damning sense. Having a mental illness doesn’t fundamentally alter the deeper characteristics of who you are as a person; it may inhibit one’s ability to reach their fullest potential or make it incredibly difficult to realize the best version of yourself, but it isn’t going to transform a fundamentally decent person into the kind of specimen Lucas embodies. The onus of that kind of transformation is on the person themselves and only themselves.

I say this has someone who also believes everything wrong with Lucas probably has its collective origins in traumatic events endured in childhood. Tracing out the etiology of Lucas’ condition might give us some ideas about causation, but they don’t explain why the condition has been maintained uninterrupted since entering adulthood. What does explain that is lifestyle.

The cornerstone of allopathic practice of psychiatry is the notion that facts about your mental life are grounded in facts about your neurology. Philosophical disputes aside, as far as medicine is concerned, the consciousness you experience is seated in and generated by your brain. Your brain receives input from everywhere and all of that input impacts how your brain functions, that means every sensation you have, everything you encounter in your daily life, both perceptible and non-perceptible, ultimately gets factored in.

Lucas can’t help being bi-polar, but he still chooses to maintain a lifestyle that ensures he’ll always remain mentally ill.

Very well said. I also think Lucas is fully culpable for the way his life is. Yes he is schizo and bipolar and those are handicaps, but not everyone with those conditions ends up a lolcow, much less a Lucas tier horrorcow. And at the end of the day he chooses not to take his meds unless forced, not to go to therapy unless involuntarily committed, and not to work on himself at all.

Ultimately I think all of Lucas’ problems are the results of a decision he made, consciously or unconsciously, in his teens or early 20s, that he was never going to do anything he didn’t want to do, and that he would never allow himself to think an uncomfortable thought. Thus the refusal to work, to improve himself or even to recognize any faults in himself. He’s one of those people who has never been wrong about anything, everything is someone else’s fault. That’s one of the most infuriating types of people to be around and everyone who may have once cared about him rightfully cut him out of their lives. You can’t help someone who refuses to do any of the work and is a childish, ungrateful asshole every step of the way. That has always been his real problem, not his mental illnesses per se.

If Lucas was posted up on Lower Post Street and he approached a zoomer bae. He closes his eyes and walks up and tells her she is pretty and he wants to introduce himself. If she was not nice to him and told him he stunk and that he needs to get away from her, he would explode into a tard rage. "Moooo, Moooo! Reeeee! You bigot, you classist bitch! Mooo!"
