The thing is, it's normal to for a man to want to slay prime 'tang & have children. Lucas being a professed ephebophile & family man hopefull doesn't make him creepy in an of it's self; it's the stunning lack of self awareness surrounding it. Yeah it's kinda creepy though in itself. If you really are looking for a life partner (and not some ONS with a 20 something you met in a club) you kinda want to have something in common with that person outside of the bedroom. Now the problem with young people (18-25 , to directly take Lucas' range) is that they didn't have a chance to make a lot of life experience yet and broaden their horizons and even understand who they are. The older you get, the more you realize the gap you have with people that young in conversation. At some point an 18-19 year old is just a kid to you that doesn't know anything about anything. Nothing illegal or wrong with finding the body of an 18-19 year old attractive when you're for example 38 (that's only nature) but if you have reached at least some level of maturity in the last 38 years of your life you don't really want a relationship with that person because you will not be able to connect on a meaningful level, which in turn throws all thoughts of attraction out of the window if you aren't 24/7 thristy like an internet incel. (Being able to overrule your dick also being a sign of maturity)

The older the younger partner becomes, the less this is an issue. This is also why nobody really bats an eye at an 31 year old going out with an 46 year old even though they're 15 years apart. With 31 it's very unlikely you aren't mature enough to make that choice and understand what it really means which makes it a lot less creepy. A 31 year old has life experience and their know who they are and what they want for the most part. They're also not as easily "dazzled" as a 19 year old might be.

While in general I wouldn't judge couples with a big age range between them and I don't see anything wrong with it as long as they're consenting adults, being 38 year old and exclusively thirsting after legal teenagers is hella creepy and shows there's something wrong with your own development. I agree with @AmpleApricots there's nothing wrong with dating in any consenting adult ages. Sometimes, the gap turns out to be a great thing for both parties, I can say I know people of both sexes who dated younger mostly wanting to be more "hip" Lucas hates youth culture. The younger partner saw the older has experience in life and was more settled, a goal for most younger people to learn and be stable. As they grow as a couple both learn and find they are healthy together pass the exchange of info. If you go back to 2012 on Lucas' "Conversation" FB account you can really see the evolution of his obsession for younger women. Older women argue with him, disagree with him, try to give him advice to get better, and put demands on him. Sue especially nailed him by kicking him out, and he hated her for it. The help he was offered by other women back then always involved personal responsibility on his part. He doesn't want that, he wants the free hand-out. He thinks he will be the All-Knowing-Controller with a younger woman, which is probably why his true target is under 18. His niece didn't judge him or tell him what he needed to do to be a better person. That's an interesting point. Lucas started taking his meds at 16, I believe, & was off them during him homeless period if I remember correctly. To be ret.arded from mental, spiritual, & emotional growth for so many years would leave him wallowed in the immaturity we see today.
