He was probably thinking by "gifting" his family games, it was going to be an open door for him to get back into their good graces and even get invited to their homes. Of course the family member would have to provide the bus fare.

Why on earth is Lucas not placed in a group home or something? :powerlevel:I had to observe patients in a group home for people with schizophrenia for a number of weeks as part of my college studies:powerlevel:, and judging from what I've seen, he'd fit right in. I mean, he can't be involuntarily admitted to a psych ward unless he's noticeably psychotic and an actual, probably acute, danger to others or himself, but what's stopping him from being incapacitated and moved into a home where there'd be staff to make sure he took his meds and didn't cause harm? Stupid ass question probably, but I've no idea how the system works in the US as I'm not from there.

I think he feels that living in a therapy home would be a millennial vagina-drier as much as living at home with your parents. I suspect he is doing all he can to maintain independence for this reason. Whether this has just been him abusing social programs as far as they will go, or actively being so difficult to work with that authorities have given up and just let him do his thing, I am unsure. His current home I believe is barely a step-removed from monitored accommodation, however - it's not regular housing.

Pioneer Pathway House is monitored. Non-residents can't just walk into the building. A non-resident has to ring the bell, and someone from the inside has to let person(s) in. Also the comings and goings from the building are monitored by surveillance video. That's how police were able to identify and catch the man responsible for a murder that happened at Pioneer Pathway a couple of years ago.
Might also be why he's been looking to move out. Knowing Lucas's "taste" for girls younger than 18, he figures if he got "lucky" with a 16 yr old, he wouldn't be able to sneak her into his fart room without getting found out.

Add to that the stalking of middle school and HS girls. Wanting to "breed" with 15-16 yr olds, and trying to get nudes from a 16 yr old. His "need" for his own baby girl. He was a known pervert when he lived in Olympia. I'd say that is the reason he decided to stay in Spokane when he was catfished. He decided to start "fresh" in a new place.
