Exactly. Being mentally ill doesn't prevent you from being prosecuted, let alone for something as serious as sex crimes involving minors. As far as not being prosecuted goes, mental illness is a narrow, almost useless defense. He'd have to convince someone that he didn't know what he was doing, or that what he was doing is wrong. No chance of that.

It might get him first and last months' rent and a security deposit but he'd also have to do things like pay rent and utilities with money that he doesn't know how to manage to begin with. He admitted he was put on a no rent list so that means government housing isn't going to happen. Not in washington state at least. and even if he did leave the state i'd expect those lists find their way to nearby states pretty regularly, even if unofficially

He's gone the roommate route before and we all know how that turned out. and that when he was nowhere near as broke brained as he is now. If he tried it again now and somehow managed to find someone willing or desperate enough to go for it he would be be leaving horrifyingly dirty dishes all over the place, ranting at all hours of the day and night while making videos, eating the roomates food (as he admitted to doing with the last one), demanding things were run his way and expecting the roommate to bring him women and/or be his wingman at the bars (which he's banned from anyway) to help him get women. Remember, he uses people any way he can and expects people to serve a purpose for him to his benefit. That has always been his MO. Needless to say none of those things will go over well with any sane roommate and will inevitably lead to being confronted about it, to a chimpout which would inevitably lead to lucas either getting booted out of the apartment or arrested/committed after going batshit again

It would be an amusing saga to say the least, but i'd be surprised if it lasted more than a month, maybe two if lucas could be on his very best behavior and spend most of his time out of the apartment (which we know he wouldn't, especially if said roommate had a tv, computer, internet or whatever else he brought with him)

That leaves getting an apartment on his own, which even if he managed, again won't last long. Normal apartments have very, very little tolerance for the kind of bs lucas was pulling at his old place. He lad leeway there because he was mentally ill and even that didn't stop him from pushing it far enough that they had to kick him out. He still thinks he did no wrong and was kicked out unjustly, so his behavior wouldn't change. Give it a week and he'd be starting to get back to his old behavior. He would also have very little money once he paid rent, not like the pittance the old place took out of his tardbux. He'd quickly be looking to scam somebody, or trying to come up with some brokebrained scheme to make money, or trying to blackmail somebody again somehow or flat out trying to start stealing shit from people (as again he admitted to doing in the past 'when he had to') He wouldn't be able to offer dates or money to date him, wouldn't be able to go to restaurants and would have very little leftover to buy food on his own that wasn't covered by his EBT card. All of that would eat at him, piss him off and inevitably lead to manic outbursts, which would likely get him kicked out very quickly and find himself on a public no rent list as a result

Not that I wouldn't like to see him somehow manage to find a roommate gullible or desperate enough to let him in. He would certainly learn his lesson about inviting creeps like lucas into his home after that and it would definitely lead to some amusing content and an inevitable trip to jail or the nuthouse as lucas would not be so tolerating of being thrown out a second time, especially by some roommate he thought was slighting him (and we all know thats exactly what he would think no matter what the reason was)

I agree with you that Lucas has done some great work inside his apartment, but my favorite video from the last month or so was the one where he was screaming "greed mongers!!!" in the park. That's sort of video is my favorite, when he goes completely batshit. It's more satisfying to think of him bothering people in public, because then there may be repercussions.

Repercussions are sorely lacking. Because Lucas is so thick, the consequences are going to have to be significant, and perhaps it's impossible to bring about a change. I don't really want to see him change, I just like it when the world takes him down a peg. When he made those videos hastily apologizing to Eisenberg, even though by the end of the video he had talked himself into stupid anger again, and threats, I like that.
