That's a problem that pops up whenever he gets posted to reddit or if a larger channel does some 'reviews' or reactions to his videos but doesn't look into what he is first: You get people who only see "omg they're making fun of a mentally ill homeless man" and don't actually look into why Lucas is a target.

If you can catch them to explain that he's a child groomer/predator and that's why he's a target, most of them back off defending him REALLY fast unless they're the same sort of person.

That’s really optimistic thinking in terms of Big Boy. We know he can’t keep this up forever, as much as he wants to. Right now, all his needs are being met, yes.

People argued that his fartbox apartment was a better set up. But they’re thinking in terms of a better set up for a normal person. Lucas doesn’t want to be completely alone, but he doesn‘t want a roommate who’s going to leave the tv on, or just generally disrupt or engage with his “totally normal voices.”

He feels like he‘s on top of the world right now, but wait til that room gets filled. And it’ll be soon. It’s getting cooler out. He won’t be able to keep up this cloud 9 undisturbed Wern. We’ll see him go back to outdoors videos and raging. It’s just a matter of time.

To this extent, I have some anecdotal experience about section 5 since medication gets brought up a lot. In section 5, it’s basically allowing for a POA (power of attorney) to decide about administering meds when someone is on their deathbed or deemed mentally unfit/incapacitated to decide for themselves. In section 7, however, it’s left broad and open to define “serve” patients with “mental health” and “developmental disability.”


ETA that anyone could just decide that Lucas needs more meds one day and that’s it. He gets more Xanax or whatever. What a life.

It can’t be long for the arrival of a new roommate and the inevitable conflict it brings that forces the Wern back outside. Not sure the meds will keep him calm enough to stay put when someone else is present in the room but it is an interesting thing about the Wern that he seems to always require isolation or some kind of space where he can let it all out when engaging with the internet on the subjects he wants to talk about. Sometimes he will want to show off that he has friends or people he engages with but besides that the cow needs pasture to graze.

He'll likely do what he did the first time he got out of his year long stay in the psych ward: Comply for awhile then decide he's "better" or "cured" and invoke the patient rights act to refuse medication, which will get his behavior to spiral again and if we're lucky when Mallon Place tells him, "Take your meds or leave", he'll be in a state of mind where he impulsively chooses to leave.

It's almost, ALMOST like a little bit of self awareness isn't it. He doesn't have any problem coming off as a narcissistic jailbait chaser to thousands of people on the internet but he's hesitant to do the same thing in front of people IRL. He darts his eyes wildly back and forth and jerks his head over his shoulder like a paranoid junkie when he does videos in the streets. When someone confronts him about the stuff he says in person or during an interview he laughs nervously and shrugs it off saying he's a comedian and it's part of an act. It's not that he's embarrassed to act like the creep he truly is around others, it just reminds him how much of a societal reject he is when he gets looked at with disgust, laughed at, and getting told he needs to tone down his over-entitlement and stop lying to himself with his expectations.
When you're as plenty good as Lucas is, being forced to acknowledge the truth hurts like an ass whooping. He knows from experience it can get his ass kicked too.
