Lucas of all people talking about “gross old men” is fucking priceless irony. Not only is he exactly that, he’s been whining for years that young women should only date older men. Just more confirmation that he doesn’t actually believe in these sweeping societal proclamations that he makes and only means himself when he says women need to date old guys or poor guys. Do we think Lucas experiences time like a normal person? What I mean is, time unquestionably seems to pass faster as an adult than it does as a kid; do we imagine that Lucas has lived this 10 years of deprivation moment-to-moment, or has he suffered, waiting year by year in a continuum, feeling the full weight of every unloved day building on top of every other?
His repetition would make it seem as if every day he's born anew, with the same struggles, the same arguments, and no awareness that he's repeated these things a million times before.
But every once in awhile, he summons up the malaise that suggests that he feels the full weight of this 10 years.
And it's hilarious.

That steaks looks plenty good. But is Lucas putting butter on his steak? Lucas probably thinks that the Gen Z ladies will see this and be impressed and want some steak too. Well, he thinks wrong! Its interesting to see him consistently poor but housed now whereas before it’d be motel king to ragman eating hot cabbage soup at the homeless shelter.
Edit: I was just imagining what would happen if Lucas went to a payday lender and took out $200 at 20% interest. I don’t think they’d let him without a job but he would totally do it without a second thought.

Remember, Lucas said that he usually doesn't tip. Like, at all.
He was interviewed by someone, cant remember who, who asked him how much he tips, and told him that the standard is 20%, then Lucas insisted that NO ONE usually tips. I would even doubt this supposed $4...
