Lucas reads a small amount into a small section of physical laws he clearly doesn't understand and thinks repeating will make him sound intelligent.

That's the interesting thing about him. Lucas only has a surface level understand of ... everything really, but even that's giving him too much credit. What's even more zany is he'll construct his entire schizofrenic basis over a two-sentence excerpt of an abstract, which is also giving him too much credit because he's definitely not reading the abstract either. At best, he reads the headline of article about the research that pops up on a Google search because I highly doubt he brothers any further attempt to understand.

After reading enough to validate his mooing, he then goes on to formulate and theorize a retarded, schizofrenic argument in his head. This argument makes sense to no one but himself to prove whatever point he wants to make. As much as Lucas likes to moo about rationale and science, he does the exact opposite. Highly amusing.

He really seems to think people don't understand him and aren't aware of his behavior.

What I'm curious about is how aware he is of it, or how much of it is some sort of automatic, self-conservation mechanism.

Like, it's obvious Lucas knows there are things that would make people look at him negatively. Does that change anything? No, not really. As evidenced by Lucas repeatedly doing them, but I'm not sure he continuously retains that type of information in his active conscious. Now how does that even work? Hell if I know, but with Lucas doesn't have the ability to comprehend the abstract or the figurative. According to Wernology, his memory is also an issue.

What I'm thinking is he knows something is bad, but doesn't really understand why it's bad. Since he doesn't know why something is bad, he just assumes the previous something that was bad was only due to some hyperspecific attributes and characteristics, and it wouldn't have been bad if 1 or 2 completely meaningless variables were different because it was those meaningless variables that led to something being bad.

To tie it back into the whole "he thinks everyone is unaware of his history", I legitimately don't believe he's aware of his history in the same sense normal humans are. The reality he conceives, which caters to his schizofrenic delusions, is the only reality he can perceive. Lucas's consciousness is legitimately closer to that of a mentally impaired chimp than he is to other people.

Lucas has definitely glazed Stalin era USSR before but I can't remember about N Korea (not saying it's never happened, but he was oddly fixated on USSR). That's something I don't really get. Smart money would be on him assuming none of it applies to him and he'd be at the top, but my alternate guess is he simply doesn't account for where he fits in his schizofantasy.
