Former Spokanian (born and raised), made an account just to post.
I actually found one of Werner's notes (about a page front and back) in front of what used to be our downtown Olive Garden location. I didn't know about him but I remember showing my friend and it had his conversationourage/conversationrage weebly page written on the bottom. That was circa 2015. I don't remember the content as much as the URL but it was a lot of crazy ramblings about his hormone stuff/millennial women.
Then I found a blog cataloging his kind of stuff here:
https://shameshack.tumblr.com/search/the werner files (formerly the-cringe-channel)
which has more of his stuff if it's not already on this forum.
I was also surprised to see that
he has his own ED page.
I pretty much had forgotten about the guy until I stumbled upon this forum.
Some explanations about why he is this way: Spokane notoriously has a meth and drug use problem, most people from Spokane know to avoid places like E Sprague Ave because of the types of drug users/prostitutes you'll find there.
The other thing is Spokane's addict/homeless problem, which is not made any better by the affordable housing buildings which usually turn into places-to-avoid due to negligence and a failure to screen homeless/people in poverty/low income families for drug use; many complexes have "no using" policies on the premises, yet still allow active users to stay there.
The other thing is the unavailability of psychiatrists and proper mental health help for people like Werner or even worse. It's hard to find and hard to afford.
That's not to say this isn't how it is in other places, but as a side note, I can't wear any "Spokane memorabilia" outside of my college campus because the two times I did, without fail, i was approached by homeless drug users (once on the Link by a kid who was cutting himself and using the blood to draw in a notebook. Yay, Spokane)
All in all it's not surprising to find out that someone like this is from Spokane, but it is surprising that someone like this has such a cult following/people find them interesting. Probably because of their online presence.
