Well, he is quite severely mentally ill, so it’s probably not so much that he doesn’t think about it as it is that he really believes it and genuinely thinks this is like, normal behavior. It’s not that he doesn’t think about social interaction. He just genuinely thinks this is how people interact.
ETA he’s probably noticed that he’s a societal outsider, but in his mind it’s the ageism issue, not him.

We know that despite the many odd and TMI things Lucas says online, he's still both capable and willing to omit/suppress details of himself. An example is "Cut off your finger" chat log. I'm sure there are as many skeletons in his closet as there are servings of cheese in his refrigerator.
There is the possibility that he is being monitored by mental health services and/or the LE as a high risk of perpetrating sexual harm. This may not be made public due to his mental health. These situations exist formally such as a "Sexual Harm Prevention Order" in the UK and are ad hoc citations by local police in the US. Although in the US there is no lawful sanction can be given and the surveillance order expires in a set time period unless ordered by a judge.
The condition of anonymity is made by authorities when the need for a person's privacy outweighs the risk they pose to society. If this is the case with Lucas, they need to visit this thread straight away!
This is all hypothetical, as I have little faith in Lucas's risk to children being mitigated outside of his imprisonment or euthanasia. Even so, he is a walking case-in-point for SHPOs.

So, we are running out of the month of September for Lucas' mom and stepdad to come up. She said they were coming for 3 nights 4 days, so I have a feeling they might be flying up tomorrow and leaving on Sunday, or, they scrapped the entire idea because, well, it's Lucas.
