He's tried to "sanitize" the incident that got him kicked in the mouth. He was creeping on a girl at the bus plaza, an older woman shows up (likely the girl's relative) stops him in his tracks by kicking him in the mouth. His "sanitized version", the girl was into him, was going to kiss him when the older woman kicked him. The Starbucks incident, he says all he did was give her a note asking her to dinner. There was much more to the incident, for he ended up banned and the girl got an order of protection against the creep.

Lucas and I are about the same age, give or take a few months.
I have problems... hell, everybody has problems and I was sympathetic to his at first (I started watching him a few months ago).
Making the decision that I wanted to attract women was a big motivator in my getting my life together.
Women aren’t really attracted to height or weight. They want you to be interesting and striving to better yourself.
Lucas isn’t doing any of that.
If I found myself on my ass tomorrow, stripped of my possessions, my wife, my children and somehow my education and my skill set. If I somehow found myself living in his conditions, I’d like to think I could.. and more importantly, would want, to dig myself out of where he is.
It doesn’t occur to him to do so. That drive that exists in most of us to better ourselves doesn’t exist in him.

I know what you mean. I said this before, but the whole point of Lucas getting disability and social services is so he'd have enough stability so he'd be able to start improving his life and trying to figure out what he wants in life and how he'd get it. It doesn't really seem like Lucas has made the connection and just thinks getting free stuff from tax payer funded sources is awesome. I think most people would be happy if a homeless schizophrenic guy wanted to go to college, but it was just a subsidized way for Lucas to meet young women, and he wasn't even good at his classes.

I'm not sure if Lucas has ever tried to improve himself. His only non-lizard brain (eating, mating, and avoiding threats) interest seems to be board games. There are game shops where people meet to play games, and I'd think it'd be good for Lucas to go if he could behave himself, but he can't, so he'd probably get banned again.
