My impression is that he believes that everything he does has a chance of successfully scoring a Zoomer Bae, for breeding and anal torture. He's not portraying a character so much as using different rhetorical strategies to get what he wants.

He rants about how women enjoy bad boys and being called bitches. Then he calls women bitches and acts like a 12 year old's conception of a bad boy, saying "nigga" and neg'ing all the bases like a PUA.

He rationalizes his pedo lust with an unconvincing veneer of junk science, extols the virtues of Age Gap Love.

He politicizes his pedo lust, and tries to convince "Socialists" and Bernie fans that denying him sex is right wing villainy.

He treats "creep" like "nigger" in an attempt to shame people out of pointing out what he is.

In each instance, he is trying to be persuasive.

He's deadly earnest. It's not a joke.

I was under the impression that he uses the defense of playing a character to excuse all the horrible things that he can't stop himself from doing.

Lucas is insane, so he can't control a lot of his behavior, and a lot of the reasoning behind it doesn't make sense to us, but it makes sense to him.

Correct. I too thought Lucas may have been putting on a show to mask perverse desires, or was switching hats from Incel to NiceGuy to FedoraLord, etc. But then actually observing him in person, he truly is schizophrenic. He rambles to himself with very personal and absolutely bonkers thoughts at a crowded table, as if the other members of the table are not even there. One time at lunch (I refer to it as "feeding") the group at his table were mocking him because he was rambling "Spent all this money on boardgames....I just need a girlfriend to get this shit out of my head...etc.) and the homeless men around were saying "Listen to sad songs bro it helps!", "Can't make a hoe a housewife, move on!" etc. He acted like they were not even there when they were two feet away. I have a schizophrenic stepbrother who is in mental health housing in my hometown, and my first girlfriend in junior high had a schizo uncle who lived with her family, plus all the ones I have met through my career.
