He's really on Instagram trying to use the elk on his dad's property gimmick again. It's just so hard to believe that even Lucas could be this detached from what people actually care about. I hesitate to say that he was ever more sensible, but it seems like he's getting more clueless all the time.
I appreciate how fixated on eating and mating Lucas is, and how he projects his animal fixations on everyone else.
Thus the elk.
Lucas's established, and hilarious, modus operandi is to use food to demonstrate his suitability as a mate. Very primitive status signaling. Whether he's leaving pep sticks at the library, or offering meals at Red Robin, his message is: Come with me, baby Zoom, with the juicy uterus, and I will ensure that you are fed.
And yet he remains single.
The "bag an elk" gimmick is an interesting outgrowth of his fixation with using food for success at the courtship game. To Lucas, it must seem quite cool and clever. Not only food, but he's showing what a mighty hunter he is, and how he's a manorial Lord with lands that only he may hunt. But once again, he's trying to signal status, for the purpose of poonaner.
Sadly, he unconsciously already signals his total lack of status. In everything he does. And no amount of pep sticks and bagged elk will distract people from the fact that he's a poor, old, fat, weak hobo without a change of underwear.
It's one place. I wouldn't make a sweeping generalization of Catholicism.
I'm comfortable making sweeping generalizations about Catholics (not Catholicism, but Catholics) and wonder if there's a more appropriate thread to litter with my sweeping generalizations.
