There is literally nothing to mandate treatment wise except for medication in his situation. If his PO is claiming there are other options he's being exceptional

It doesn't need to be forced, it doesn't require additional court involvement to force, its a 'you agree to the following terms of your probation or we throw your ass in jail' scenario. So its defacto voluntary. Case in point, the south dakota 8th circuit court of appeals confirms you can do this and if they can do it so can washington. and then there is this which fits lucas's diagnosis rather well

He literally can't afford to have such a disorder, and even if he did no court could prove it because he doesn't actively use anything in any amount that any sane person could call a problem. He is not a drug addict and not an alcoholic. and before you claim hes self medicating, good luck with that one. Him and half the soccer moms in the country who like the wine and adderall. and at best he does a tiny fraction of what those types do. They can go ahead and evaluate him, it won't conclusively prove anything

Doing otherwise is a big ethical no no. As for his record of use, that amounts to literally a gram or so of weed a month, to so far no discernible consequences that can be conclusively tied to that use. You certainly can't be referring to alcohol considering he hasn't been in a position to be able to obtain any for some time now and even when he did it amounted to a pint or so at rare intervals and that one incident where he bought a few different bottles and tried to come up with that crackpot concoction that he thought would attract zoomer baes, and then used it to try to bribe people to bring him a woman. Good luck getting a diagnoses of any kind of substance use disorder from any of that
